weight in kilos multiplied by 4 of warm milk before bed.

This will break your fast, but it is important that you only

break it with the warm milk and not food and stick to your
fast as per the previous guidelines laid out in Stage 18.

How to work out how many milliliters you need to be


drinking

First of all you need to work out your weight in kilos,
remove the decimal points (so round down), then multiply
that weight by 4 and the total will equal the amount of
millilitres of milk you need to be drinking.

For example, if you weigh 200 pounds this is how you


would work it out:

200lbs = 90.7 kilos

Remove the .7 so it is just 90 kilos then5

90 x 4 = 360  this works out to you needing to drink


360 millilitres of warm milk

Do I have to drink it before bed?

Yes.

It is very important to drink this before you go to sleep as


the reason you are drinking it is to help you get a good
sleep so that your body can do the work it needs to grow
taller and so that you can get the rest you need to get

through your day.

How does this work?

Milk contains Tryptophan an amino acid that promotes
sleep.

Tryptophan metabolises into Serotonin (a

neurotransmitter) and Melatonin a hormone that acts as a
neurotransmitter, both of which have a calming effect on
our nervous systems and help to induce sleep.

They act as a kind of gentle sedative that not only helps


you get to sleep, but also ups the quality of the sleep.

When you get a surge of either Serotonin or Melatonin (or
both) before you go to sleep, you are far more likely to get
a better and more fulfilling night of rest.

Does it need to be warm milk, can I drink it cold?

It is important for it to be warm, as heating the milk helps


to activate the ingredients.

However, if you absolutely cannot stomach it, you will get


some benefit from drinking it cold – But please note, the
best results will come from the milk being warmed.
