Dear Ava,

How are you? It has been so long since I last spoke to you. I miss you very much. How is your
mom doing in her new job? Anyways, I’m writing to tell you about my new school, St. My new school is
extremely amazing! At SAGHS, I feel so comfortable to be among some of the brightest girls in the
country. We have a large compound with so many classes and buildings. It is almost like a castle! In my
new school I get ALOT of homework. I barely have time to watch TV! Nevertheless, I’m so happy to
attend. I hope your enjoying your new school as well.
So far my favorite subject is mathematics, as always, however I think that might change as time
goes by. I also seem to enjoy French and art. In my art class I’m asked to make a “masterpiece”. I can tell
you whatever it is that I’m creating is no masterpiece. I will try to send you a picture but don’t expect
anything to big. What’s your favorite subject?

Doing school via internet has been a real challenge for me, but I’m adjusting. One of the most
difficult things to adapt to would be creating slides. Before school I have literally never seen a power
point in my life. Another would be writing with pen instead of pencil. My handwriting looks horrible!

Enough about me, how are you and the family doing? I heard you got your first choice for S.E.A.
that’s so exciting. I’m so happy for you. In your opinion what is the best thing about school? Ava I really
do hope to speak to you soon, hopefully in person, after Covid-19. Please write back to me. I want to
hear all about Barbados.
