COURSE DESCRIPTION: The module is intended to assist the student in integrating the
knowledge and skills gained in exercise therapy and electrotherapy into the evaluation and
management of patients with various cardiopulmonary conditions. Students will also be
provided the knowledge of community health care delivery system.
COURSE OBJECTIVES: At the end of the clinical posting, the student should be able:
• To evaluate and manage patients in the intensive care units with appropriate/ structured
treatment principles.
• To perform preliminary evaluation, monitoring and testing on the area of cardiac disease
and pulmonary diseases.
• To design and assist in Physiotherapy / rehabilitation programs in the areas of burns
To plan, organize and manage medical, surgical and palliative care patients.
• To understand various organizations, barriers and health promotion aspects in
community
