COURSE DESCRIPTION: The module is intended to provide the student an opportunity to


gain knowledge about various procedures related to cardio thoracic surgeries, plastic surgery
and surgeries in oncology including pre and post-operative care.

COURSE OBJECTIVES: At the end of the course, the student should be able to know:
• The different surgical procedures of the lungs and heart
• The knowledge about different types and degrees of burns, grafts and flaps used as
the clinical management in the Physiotherapy treatment plan

COURSE DESCRIPTION: The module is intended to provide the student an opportunity to


learn about different medical conditions in the field of Community Medicine in order to
rationalize and apply the knowledge gained about various medical conditions in the clinical
setup.

COURSE OBJECTIVES: At the end of the course, the student should be able:

COURSE DESCRIPTION: The module is intended to assist the student in integrating the
knowledge and skills gained in exercise therapy and electrotherapy into the evaluation and
management of patients with various cardiopulmonary conditions. Students will also be
provided the knowledge of community health care delivery system.

COURSE OBJECTIVES: At the end of the clinical posting, the student should be able:
• To evaluate and manage patients in the intensive care units with appropriate/ structured
treatment principles.
• To perform preliminary evaluation, monitoring and testing on the area of cardiac disease
and pulmonary diseases.
• To design and assist in Physiotherapy / rehabilitation programs in the areas of burns
