for those who work as bricklayers and plasterers.

UNIT 8: WORKING ON SCAFFOLDING, PLATFORMS AND LADDERS 5

UNIT DESCRIPTION
This standard specifies the competencies to work safely on scaffolding, platforms and
ladders whilst performing block/bricklaying tasks. It includes hazard identification,
erect scaffolding, inspecting, repair and adjust erected scaffolding, Whip, tie, splice
and inspect ropes and dismantles scaffolding. The standard is intended for those who
work as block/bricklayers and plasterers but not limited to the other civil trades.
