RHYTHM

⚫ Rhythm refers to any movement characterized by a


patterned recurrence of elements or motifs at regular or
irregular intervals.
⚫ Beams and columns repeat themselves to form repetitive
structural bays and modules of space.
⚫ Windows and doors repeatedly puncture the surfaces of a
building to allow light, air, views, and people to enter the
interior.

BALANCE

⚫ A feeling of visual equality in shape, form, value,

color, etc.

⚫ Balance can be symmetrical or evenly balanced or

asymmetrical and un-evenly balanced.

⚫ Objects, colours, textures, shapes, forms, etc., can be

used in creating a balance in a composition.


BALANCE

⚫ Balance is an outcome of symmetry and axis.

⚫ Axis is an imaginary line drawn between two points


in space & about which forms & spaces can be
arranged in a regular or irregular manner.

⚫ The balanced arrangement of equivalent patterns of


form and space on opposite sides of a dividing line or
plane, or about a centre or axis.
