Terms and Conditions

1. These terms and conditions apply to The Oxford Test of English Market Research being conducted
during August and September 2022 (“the Competition”).

2. By entering the Competition Entrants will be deemed to have read and understood these terms and
conditions and to be bound by them. (“Entrants” as used in these terms and conditions means (as the
context shall permit the students, learners and/or test takers that enter the Competition.)

3. The Competition is organized by Oxford University Press, Great Clarendon Street, Oxford, OX2 6DP
(“OUP”).

4. All entries to the Competition must complete the market research survey in full answering all
questions. Entrants may only enter once - additional entries with alternative emails or names from the
same entrant will not be counted.

5. To enter the Competition entrants must be above 16 years of age on the closing date Friday 9th
September 2022.

6. The Competition is not open to employees of OUP, their friends or family, or anyone connected with
the products given away as prizes.

7. By entering the Competition, Entrants warrant and represent that their entry is original and only
includes their own opinion. If an entry is not original or plagiarised the entry may be disqualified.

8. All entries must be received by OUP by Friday 9th September 2022.

9. By entering the Competition, Entrants agree that OUP may publish the winners' name on any other
OUP websites, on social media, and on promotional or publicity material for the Competition or OUP.
OUP's Privacy Policy (available at www.OUP.com) sets out how OUP will handle any personal
information that may be provided pursuant to the Competition.

10. Any entry which is incomplete, illegible, or late may be deemed invalid and may be disqualified.

11. The winner will be chosen at random through using a third-party random name generator tool
combining all entries from the survey. This decision will be final.

12. The winner will receive an iPad to aid their English Language Learning which will be posted to them.

13. OUP intends to announce the winning entry by Friday 30 th September 2022.

14. Once the winner has been notified, they will be invited to accept the relevant prize within 7 days of
being contacted and provide their address to receive the prize. If the notified winner does not respond
within 7 days of notification, another winner may be selected at random from the remaining entries and
contacted as previously stated. If a subsequent winner has been contacted, the original winner shall no
longer entitled to the prize.

15. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OUP hereby excludes all warranties, representations,
covenants and liability (whether express or implied) regarding the Competition or the prize. Nothing
however shall exclude OUP’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
16. In the event of any dispute regarding the Competition, the decision of OUP shall be final and binding
and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

17. OUP may withdraw or cancel the Competition for any reason and at any time and may change the
prize to a prize of a similar value. There is no cash alternative. OUP is under no obligation to offer
refunds, but may do so at its sole discretion.

18. OUP reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions without prior notice.

19. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
