Quito, a magical city

Being surrounded by places that represent historically decisive moments for Ecuador is
unique. Quito before the colonial period, was considered a place of great value for its
resources and political power, today Quito not only has resources or political power, it is
also possible to find in Quito historically important places and unique landscapes in the
world, Quito can be a source of inspiration for a person passionate about art and
creativity.
I lived for a year in Panama and I experimented which it is be a foreigner, during that year
I missed a lot the Ecuadorian gastronomy and places that you would only find in Quito -
Ecuador, even though I was in another country that had its particular advantages in
contrast with Ecuador, I still felt uncomfortable. So, I appreciated many of the things that
in Quito seem common but in other countries they are unusual to find, as an affordable
price of chocolate candies or vegetables. Traveling the world is fantastic, but it never
compares to your homeland.
Even though I am from Guayaquil, I have always enjoyed cold climates and I spent most of
my childhood in Quito. If your profession demands you to be creative and have an artistic
look, Quito and its beautiful landscapes can be a source of great inspiration, I study
advertising in ESPOL and my career demands a lot of creativity. In Quito the fog in the
mornings is like a blanket that covers the entire city, which is discovered to the eye little
by little, it is like if Quito were a person that get out of his bed and leave the sheets behind
of him. You can have a poetic vision of the magical landscapes that you will only find in
Quito.
As an Ecuadorian I have been interested in the history that has developed in Quito several
centuries ago, therefore, every time I visit Quito and remember the history, it fills me with
emotion to think that I am taking the same path where the Incas or the Spaniards walked,
it fills me with amazement to see the cathedrals that received the visit of the Ecuadorian
liberators. I am grateful to know that in Quito I can eat the same typical dishes of decades
ago. Living in Quito would be a great privilege and pride.
This is how living in Quito presents itself as a great option to experience the rich history of
Ecuador, be witness the most beautiful landscapes of the highlands and be inspired by the
unique details of this beautiful city.
