Pursuant to the provisions of Paragraph (e), article II, of R.A. No. 7836. Otherwise
known as the “Philippine Teachers Professionalization Act of 1994” and Paragraph (a),
Section 6, P.D. No. 223, as amended, the Board for Professional Teachers hereby
adopts and promulgates the following “Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers”
As stated in the Preamble: Teachers are duly licensed professionals who possess
dignity and reputation with high moral values as well as technical and professional
competence. In the practice of their noble profession, they strictly adhere to, observe, and
practice this set of ethical and moral principles, standards, and values.
These propositions are the main reasons of this Revisioning Professionalism: A
Walkthrough on Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers.
The start date for the SY 2021-2022 is September 13, 2021. As they approach the
tasks/obligations/responsibilities assigned to them by the Department of Education, it is
imperative that school personnel are equipped. Knowing what to do and how to
accomplish it can help you to have a successful school year.
This School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) aims to demonstrate understanding of the
key provisions of the code of ethics and become familiar with the responsibilities of
professional teachers. Describe and become familiar with the responsibilities specified in
the Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers. Exhibit professional behavior as set out by
the Code of Ethics for Teachers in the Philippines.

3. Exhibit professional behavior as set out by the Code of Ethics for Teachers in the
Philippines.

tasks/obligations/responsibilities that are entrusted to them especially in this time of
pandemic.

key provision of the Code of ethics.
