Pursuant to the provisions of Paragraph (e), article II, of R.A. No. 7836. Otherwise
known as the “Philippine Teachers Professionalization Act of 1994” and Paragraph (a),
Section 6, P.D. No. 223, as amended, the Board for Professional Teachers hereby
adopts and promulgates the following “Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers”
As stated in the Preamble: Teachers are duly licensed professionals who possess
dignity and reputation with high moral values as well as technical and professional
competence. In the practice of their noble profession, they strictly adhere to, observe, and
practice this set of ethical and moral principles, standards, and values.
These propositions are the main reasons of this Revisioning Professionalism: A
Walkthrough on Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers.

III. Program Description

The start date for the SY 2021-2022 is September 13, 2021. As they approach the
tasks/obligations/responsibilities assigned to them by the Department of Education, it is
imperative that school personnel are equipped. Knowing what to do and how to
accomplish it can help you to have a successful school year.

As classes started, it is necessary that school personnel are prepared as they

embark on the tasks, obligations, and responsibilities that are entrusted to them by the
Department of Education. Being on hand with what to do and how to do it will ensure the
success of a meaningful school year.

This School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) aims to demonstrate understanding of the
key provisions of the code of ethics and become familiar with the responsibilities of
professional teachers. Describe and become familiar with the responsibilities specified in
the Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers. Exhibit professional behavior as set out by
the Code of Ethics for Teachers in the Philippines.
