PRESIDENT’S NOTE
On behalf of the Opera House Players Board of Directors, I would like
to welcome you to The Little Mermaid! We are so excited to be putting
on this incredible production with such talented young performers.
Whether this is your first visit or you are a longtime OHP patron, Opera
House Players would not exist without you. It is because of your support
that we are able to continue to bring top-quality, musical theatre to
Connecticut! The past two years have been such a whirlwind for us; the-
atre has truly taken a hit in these difficult times. We thank theatregoers
for doing their part to keep others safe while celebrating the return of
in-person performances. We are grateful to be able to move forward
with our season and couldn’t do it without your constant support.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to Opera House Play-
ers during intermission—every little bit helps. During intermission we will
be running a 50/50 raffle so keep an eye out for our volunteers who will
be walking through the audience! We can also accept your donations on-
line at operahouseplayers.org/donate. In addition to monetary support,
hopefully we will see you in our audience at our next production RENT in
November! Also, we are constantly looking for volunteers to assist us in
all aspects of our productions. Please visit operahouseplayers.org/volunteer
for volunteer opportunities if you would like to be involved!
We are so excited to announce that Governor Lamont has granted
Tom Arnone’s bond request of $1.5 million dollars to renovate 100
High Street into an incredible state of the art theater. This is HUGE! We
cannot thank the State of Connecticut enough for their hard work in
recognizing the role of the arts in the economic growth of our commu-
nity. Thank you again to Governor Lamont, State Representative Tom
Arnone, the town of Enfield, and my fellow Board members whose hard
work and dedication made this opportunity possible.
We can’t wait to begin this long-awaited project to turn 100 High
Street into the beautiful theater that we always knew it could be. Words
cannot even begin to express how thankful we are for this incredible
opportunity to expand. This is honestly a dream come true for our orga-
nization! With that being said, community theatre truly takes a commu-
nity to make it happen. We are extremely grateful to all of our patrons
who have supported us. Now sit back, relax, and join us Under the Sea!
Thank you,
Erin Dugan
Board President
DIRECTORS’ NOTE
We have been on quite the journey with The Little Mermaid from
scheduling it to be Opera House Players’ first EVER youth production
in August of 2020. By March of 2020, the world was shut down. This
creative team has been counting down the days to FINALLY be able to
put on this incredible performance for about two years now!
This cast is a powerhouse of strength, determination, and passion. They
have done an absolutely amazing job of putting together this show full
of love and joy. This show is not an easy one; it requires a lot of moving
pieces, from complex costumes to incredible puppets and on-stage
transformations, to swimming on stage. The cast has accepted every
challenge with positivity and an infectious enthusiasm, and we cannot
even begin to express our gratitude for that.
Thank you to the OHP Board of Directors for all of their hard work and
support throughout this production. Thank you to the parents and
family members of our actors who have volunteered behind the scenes
and provided transportation back and forth to rehearsals throughout
the summer. Thank you to the rest of The Little Mermaid’s creative team
and tech crew; you all are so incredible, and your hard work is what
helped make this production so incredible.
Thank you for being a part of our world and supporting your local com-
munity theatre. Without you, our audience, this production would not
be possible. As we all know, COVID-19 has had such a serious impact
on our theatre family. We truly appreciate all of your support as Opera
House Players gets back on to our feet and continues to produce
wonderful works of art. We cannot do what we do without your
support, thank you!
Thank you for joining us under the sea—enjoy the show!

Love,
Erin and Julie

Join the Family!
It takes a village to run a community theater and almost
all of it is done by volunteers. We have fun doing it, create great
memories, and find friendships along the way.
Consider becoming part of our village!
We could always use help with:
House Management Stage Management

Technical Direction Collecting Props

Lighting Board Operation Backstage Coordination

Sound Board Operation Costumes/Sewing

Set Building Publicity Committee
