Stature – Functional Admin – Managing Templates

Access to Template Management

 Administration of Templates is via Studio / Types / Template

Importing Templates

 Importing Templates
 Provides the capability to introduce new templates from STS.

Method
 Choose Import Template icon
 Fill-in Template import options
 Study Group to Use
 File to Upload
 Template Name
 Study Name
 Revision Seq
Hide / Unhide

 Hide / Unhide Templates


 Provides the capability to display templates within embedded workflow components only.
 Prevents the template’s studies from being edited outside of the workflow context.

Method
 Select Template from list
 Choose Hide / Unhide icon
 Confirm selection

 Note: Type changed to “Hidden”


De-activating Templates

 Provides the ability to De-activate a Template


 De-activation hides the template from future use.
 Existing studies remain active. Other functions are disabled (refer p55, SRM User Guide).
 De-activation may be necessary if Delete option not possible.

Method
 Select Template.
 Choose Deactivate icon.
 Select OK to confirm Selection.

 Note: Active changed to “No”


Activating Templates

 Provides the ability to Activate a Template


 Activation restores the template from de-activated state.

Method
 Select Template.
 Choose Activate icon.
 Select OK to confirm Selection.

 Note: Active restored to “Yes”


Updating Templates

 Updating Templates
 Provides the capability to update Template with new content.
 Limitations exist on the impact of template changes on existing studies
 Stature may not allow existing revision to be update

Method
 Select Template Name.
 Choose Update Template icon.
 Browse for STT file.
 Select Submit to confirm.
Export Template

 Exporting Templates
 Provides the capability to export Template to STT file.
 Exported template can be opened in Stature Template Studio (STS) application.

Method
 Select Template Name.
 Choose Export Template icon.
 Choose Save: Select Location to Download file.
Deleting Templates

 Deleting Templates
 Provides the capability to Delete Templates
 Limitations exist if studies already instantiated from Template

Method
 Select Template Name.
 Choose Delete Selected Template icon.
 Select OK to confirm.
Viewing Template Hierarchy

 Viewing Template Hierarchy


 Provides the capability to view the template hierarchy from
within Stature

Method
 Select Template Name.
 Choose View Template Hierarchy icon.
Renaming Templates

 Provides the ability to rename existing Templates

 Select Template Name.
 Choose Renaming Selected Template icon.
 Select Submit to confirm.
Changing Revision Sequence

 Provides the ability to revise the revision format


 Options include:
 N/A
 Alphanumeric
 Numerical

Method
 Select Template Name.
 Choose Change Revision Naming Sequence icon.
 Select Submit to confirm.

 Note: “Study Revision Naming Sequence”

View Groups

 Provides the capability to define a View Group to a specific Template.


 View Groups partition the study into sections by filtering the worksheets accessible
to specific users.
 View Groups are assigned to individual users as security settings.

Method
 Select Template Name
 Choose Specify/Change View Groups icon
 Choose View Group from drop-down list
 Select worksheets within Study
 Select Save icon.
Set Meanings

 Set Meanings aligns the Hierarchy items with the workflow


inputs.

Method
 Select Template Name.
 Choose Set Meanings icon.
 Choose Item from Hierarchy.
 Choose Meaning from List.
 Select Submit to confirm.
 Repeat until all Meanings assigned to Hierarchy items.
Mark Fields Searchable

 Provides the capability to search study content from Global Search tool.

Method
 Select Template Name.
 Choose Mark Fields Searchable icon.
 Select Hierarchy item from List.
 Select Save to confirm.
Number Fields Uniquely

 Provides the capability to create a unique number for List


items across common Templates.

Method
 Select Template Name.
 Choose Number Fields Uniquely icon.
 Select Hierarchy item from List.
 Select Save icon to confirm.
Specify Default Lifecycle

 Provides the capability to associate a Life Cycle to a specific Template.

Method
 Select Template Name.
 Choose Specify Default Life Cycle icon.
 Select Life Cycle from drop-down list.
 Select Submit icon to confirm.

 Note: Default Life Cycle column

 Provides the capability to associate an icon to a specific Template

Method
 Select Template Name.
 Choose Associate Icons icon.
 Browse for Icon images.
 Select Submit to confirm.

 Note: Icon changes to new image


Remove Icons

 Provides the capability to remove an icon previously associated to a specific


Template

Method
 Select Template Name
 Choose Remove Icons icon.
