I. BACKGROUND of the PROJECT:

The proposed projects are intended to align with Fo Guang Shan's value: The Three Acts of
Goodness—Do Good Deeds, Speak Good Words, and Think Good Thoughts. These are activities
that promote self- and societal transformation by purifying our actions, speech, and thoughts, as well
as cultivating wisdom and compassion. This proposal is titled "Project CHANGE" because the
project's goal is to inspire change among students through activities that are concerned with or seek
to promote human welfare, spread goodness, and enthusiasm for the Three Acts of Goodness.
 Solid Waste Management Program- This project is proposed to address one of Malitbog
National High School's problems. Even though proper solid waste management has been
practiced throughout most students' elementary school years, it can still be observed
nowadays that proper waste management is still not observed correctly among students.
 ARTHIBITION- To cultivate the talents of artistic individuals and to improve the writing
abilities of aspiring writers by showcasing these talents to audiences, with the goal of
reaching out and spreading an idea that can stimulate the mind and start a conversation about
the three acts of goodness.
 Project: BREATHE IN, BREATHE OUT- Meditation has numerous advantages, including
the ability to gain a new perspective on stressful situations, focus on the present moment,
reduce negative emotions, and so on. This project is proposed because an individual's health
should always be a priority to monitor, maintain, and improve in order to live a healthy and
lively life, especially as a student living through the pandemic.
 Care for Creation – Called to lovingly care for the world we’ve been entrusted. There is
now an urgency call to earth-keeping, to justice, and to community. Our purpose is to help
and encourage ministry partners to plant trees and fruit trees in their communities. Trees are
important part of our quality of life – environmentally, culturally and economically. Your
help and the communities that will be involved will leave a legacy of trees, an appreciation of
the value of green-cover, and strong community partnerships for future generations. More
than just tree planting, the project seeks to help in planting trees that will support the
livelihood of the local community, and to replace the trees that were destroyed by typhoons
that visited the Philippines.
I. OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT:
 Solid Waste Management Program:
-To orient the students on proper waste management
-To strengthen the students’ solid waste management
 ARTHIBITION:
-To Promote the Three Acts of Goodness (TAG) through students’ art
 Project: BREATHE IN, BREATHE OUT:
-To assist students in cultivating the mind, being free of doubt and stress, and thinking of
kindness, compassion, and benevolence.
-To allow the students to be focused and stress-free at the start and end of the week.
 Care for Creation
- To avoid Flood in the campus especially during heavy rains
- To have a good atmosphere conducive for learning

II. SIGNIFICANCE AND RELEVANCE OF THE PROJECT

 Solid Waste Management Program:
 Proper solid waste management is critical for public health, safety, and environmental
quality, as it protects the environment from the hazardous effects of solid waste material.
 ARTHIBITION:
 By displaying posters and slogans about the three acts of goodness, word will hopefully
spread outside of the school and into the community, encouraging people to do good
deeds, speak good words, and think good thoughts.
 Project: BREATHE IN, BREATHE OUT:
 To have the ability and drive to do things without regard for one's own hesitancy or fear
of overstressing something due to one's poor mental stability. Before doing anything, one
must maintain one's health and well-being. As a result, this makes meditation especially
important during a pandemic.
 Care for Creation
 The project seeks to help in planting trees that will support the livelihood of the local
community, and to replace the trees that were destroyed by typhoons that visited the
Philippines.
