The SBE-StudentCouncil is the highest coordinating student body for the four co-

curricular organizations of the School of Business and Economics namely: Carolinian
Economic Society (CarES), Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA), Students
for Hospitality Organization and Tourism Services (SHOTS), and Society of Young
Business and Executives and Entrepreneurs (SYBEE).

The SBE-Student Council assists and helps the Office of the Dean of the School of

Business and Economics in its activities and events.

The SBE-Student Council helps, guides, and supports other student organizations of
the School of Business and Economics of the University of San Carlos.

The Committee on Community Extension Services, herein referred to as

CCES, shall organize and maintain programs that will promote corporate

social responsibility initiatives of its members through activities that promote

acts of giving back to the community in any means relevant to the vision and
mission of this organization, or of the School of Business and Economics, or

of the University of San Carlos. This will be the core group of the School of

Business and Economics in organizing programs that will develop the
Bagalnga Community of Compostela, the CES Focus of SBE-SC. They will be

Assistant Head of the Committee on Community Extension Services (CCES)

1. Shall work closely with the Head in overseeing the operations of CCES;
2. Shall organize meetings, both virtual and face-to-face, when applicable;
3. Shall assist the Head in managing and maintaining CCES Documents and Files;
4. Shall work closely with the Head in cultivating, maintaining, and developing relationships with beneficiaries;
5. Shall keep track of progress and activities of committee members; and

6. Shall do such other duties the Head may prescribe from time to time.

CCES Secretary
Must be an incoming first- or second-year student,
1. Shall keep and record the minutes of the meetings and attendance of CCES and send out the necessary and
pertinent information to those involved when meetings are to pursue;
2. Shall write letters of invitation, letters of partnership, or any of such nature;
3. Shall be in charge of the completion of CES Form D Activity Report Form; and
4. Shall do such other duties the Head may prescribe from time to time.

Needs Assessment Lead

1. Shall be in charge of collating data and reviewing needs assessment forms from both beneficiaries/students
prior to the approval of the Head;
2. Shall be in charge of writing Rationale and Conceptualization for CES PPA; and
3. Shall do such other duties the Head may prescribe from time to time.

The Committee on Academics is a standing committee under the SBE Student Council
which works closely with the Office of the Dean in order to promote academic

The Committee on External Relations is a standing committee within the SBE Student
Council which is responsible for creating and maintaining good working relationship

The Committee on Public Relations, otherwise referred to as the SBE-SC PR Team, is
responsible for communicating and publishing public information and notices provided

Executive Public Relations Officer, together with its Assistant Public Relations Officer.

The Volunteers’ Arc provides assistance and support in hosting events, managing

technical responsibilities, and take charge of simple administrative duties such as

Registration Forms, Sign-in Forms, Sign-Out Forms, and the like. These roles and
responsibilities will serve as opportunities to perform collaborative work with students
within the School of Business and Economics community that will further improve the
quality of events held by the School of Business and Economics Student Council. This
committee will be composed of three (3) teams, namely Hosting Team, Technical Team,

and Ad Hoc Team, of which each shall have an indefinite number of members who are

students enrolled in any department and year-level under the School of Business and
Economics; the members of the committee’s teams shall take part in activities and/or
events held by the SBE-SC upon called for their specific roles and tasks, performing them
with integrity, diligence, and excellence.

Hosting Team
A team of students who will be the EMCEE, MC, Master of Ceremony, during online events organized by the SBE-SC,
SBE Council, or other organizations that will request hosting assistance or support.

Masters of Ceremony
- has partners to converse with for the event and to avoid “dead air” during events

- interacts with guest speakers and guests with short interviews, conversations on related topic to the presentation
- writes script or guides for themself before and during dry runs and events

Backup MC
- takes the place of the main MC in cases of emergency such as poor internet connect, MC has disconnected
- all responsibilities of the MC are passed on
- must have copies of all scripts or guides

Technical Team
The team that will be responsible for technical responsibilities before, during, and after events.

Livestreamer
- takes the role and responsibility of livestreaming events held in Zoom to Facebook Live

Spotlighter
- member of the technical team whose priority is to spotlight or in other words highlight speakers, guests, hosts, MCs,

PPT Presenter
- responsible for sharing their screen, especially PowerPoint presentations of the event and speakers of the event
- must have copies of all PPT presentations before event proper to ensure smooth flow of transitions and the program

Monitor
- monitors the live stream on Facebook Live during events
- monitors the event within the Zoom call/meeting
- reports any technical problems or lapses
- may assist in livestreaming, spotlighting, and presenting

AD HOC
The team of an indefinite number of student volunteers reserved for when additional number of volunteers are
necessary or needed during events.

Volunteers may be assigned to administrative and technical tasks.

Technical tasks will include that of the Technical Team’s tasks and responsibilities.
