IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE MANUFACTURER MIXING, APPLICATION AND TREATMENT IN-
STRUCTIONS ARE FOLLOWED.
CAUTION: FOR THE REPAIR EFFECTIVITY RELATED TO THE AIRCRAFT TYPE, REFER TO THE PARA-
GRAPH 3 IN THE SRM INTRODUCTION.

TURE.
NOTE: This repair principle is applicable for all A330-200/300 WV listed in the SRM Introduction.

2. Repair Procedure
A. Crossbeam - Upper Flange Repair at Seat Tracks and/or Longerons between FR18 thru FR38 and
FR55 thru FR79.
(1). Determine the repair area and mark the cutline in accordance with Figure 001 .
(2). Remove all fasteners and brackets as necessary for the repair.
(3). Remove and discard the attachment angle from the repair area, refer to Figure 001.
(4). Cut out the damage in the crossbeam flange, round all sharp edges and deburr the edges of the
cutout.
(5). Clean the repair area with cleaning agent (Material No. 11-003 or Material No. 11-004 ).
(6). Apply structure paint (wash primer) (Material No. 16-020 ) followed by structure paint (primer)
(Material No. 16-001 ) to the edges of the cutout.
(7). Prepare the repair parts in accordance with Figure 001. For identification of the attachment angle
refer to Chapter 53-41-14 Identification .
(8). Install the repair angle and the filler in their correct position. Mark and drill the required fastener
holes, refer to Figure 001.
(9). Position the new attachment angle and the corresponding filler. Transfer drill the existing fastener
holes, refer to Figure 001.
(10).Remove all repair parts and deburr the fastener holes.
(11).Countersink the affected fastener holes, refer to Figure 001 .
(12).Clean the repair parts with cleaning agent (Material No. 11-003 or Material No. 11-004 ).
(13).Apply pretreatment for painting (Material No. 13-002 ) to the repair parts or treat the repair parts
with chromic acid anodizing (CAA), refer to Chapter 51-21-11.
(14).Apply structure paint (primer) (Material No. 16-001 ) to the repair parts.
(15).Apply sealant (Material No. 09-013 ) to the mating surface of the repair parts, refer to Chapter 51-
76-00 .
(16).Position the repair parts and install all defined fastener.
NOTE: Install all fastener wet with sealant (Material No. 09-013 ), refer to Chapter 51-76-11 .
NOTE: It is important that all fastener are installed within the work life of sealant. If this is not pos-
sible, install every third fastener within the work life of the sealant. For the work life of the
sealant refer to the manufacturer's instruction.
(17).Fill all gaps with sealant (Material No. 09-013 ), refer to Figure 001.
(18).Apply a bead of sealant (Material No. 09-013 ) to the edges of the repair parts, refer to Chapter
51-76-00 .
(19).Apply structure paint (flexible top coat) (Material No. 16-021A ) to the sealant beads, refer to
Chapter 51-23-00 .
(20).Apply structure paint (top coat) (Material No. 16-002 ) to the repair area.
(21).Apply storage preservation (LPS 3) (Material No. 15-005A ) to the repair area, refer to Chapter
51-23-00 .
