It is intimated that POF is a major consumer of Cathode Copper (99.99% pure) required for manufacturing of Brass Ammunition for Defence Forces of Pakistan. Avg annual consumption of Copper Cathode is approx. 3000 — 5000 MT which is purchased / imported through London Metal Exchange (LME) in foreign currency. If local Blister Copper produced in Saindak is made available to POF, enormous amount of National Exchequer can be saved and cost of products delivered to Defense Forces can be reduced substantially | am writing you on behalf of the Chairman POF Board for provision of one Ingot of Blister Copper being produced by MCC at Saindak or at least a piece of 100 Kg sample on gratis basis {if possible) for scopic study in order to establish a pilot project of Copper Refinery in Pakistan Your support in this regard can greatly help us to accomplish establishment of Cathode Copper Refinery within the country, saving of huge National Exchequer and reducing cost of Ammunition produced by POF for Pakistan Defense Forces. It is also requested that copy of Fresh Contract signed between GoP and MCC China be provided to POF for our further necessary action / record.
