Fuel cell technology for trains

How does it work?

● FCMU is an electric train with hydrogen powered fuel cell for onboard electric power generation

● Primary energy source on the train is Hydrogen

● Oxygen is taken from the air and combined with hydrogen inside the fuel cell, which produces all
electricity for the train

● Traction battery is used to store brake energy storage, boost acceleration and auxiliary supply

● Hydrogen infrastructure needed: Hydrogen Refuelling Station (HRS)
