PERMANENT SHELTER

Permanent shelters are cost-effective shelters that can be easily assembled and
converted into a permanent home. These structures are used as simple
emergency shelters for the people displaced by various natural and manmade
disasters.

TEMPORARY SHELTER

Temporary shelter structures are booths for storage, both for temporary and
semi-permanent use. They are a metallic carpentry structure with a covering in
cloth that covers the arches to the ground on both sides of the length.

WHAT IS SHELTER?

a place giving temporary protection from bad weather or danger.

GIVE AT LEAST 3 REASONS PEOPLE NEED SHELTER?

A shelter can protect you from the sun, insects, wind, rain, snow, hot or cold
temperatures and enemy observation. It can give you a feeling of well-being. It
can help you maintain your will to survive. In some areas, your need for shelter
may take precedence over your need for food.

SUGGEST 3 WAYS OF SOLVING SHELTER SHORTAGE?

One solution to the housing crisis is that governments around the world spend
more money on public housing. Those housing projects are meant to provide
affordable housing to people will low-to-medium incomes.
Monitor existing housing quality. ...
Work with owners to address code violations. ...
Help or incentives to owners of lower-cost rental housing in need of repairs.

STATE 1 REASON THAT CAUSES SHELTER PROBLEMS FOR SCHOOLS.

They found that the most significant hindrances to education for homeless
children were parents' non-involvement with their children's education,
difficulties in securing transportation to school, and insufficient clothing

STATE ANY 4 CAUSES OF SHELTER SHORTAGES?

 More people live alone in their homes.

 Fewer people marry than centuries ago.
 Population growth.
 Cost of land increased.

WHAT PROBLEM IS CAUSED BY OVERCROWDING?

More people mean an increased demand for food, water, housing, energy,
healthcare, transportation, and more. And all that consumption contributes
to ecological degradation, increased conflicts, and a higher risk of large-
scale disasters like pandemics.

WHY SHOULD YOU CONSIDER CLIMATE CONDITIONS WHEN DESIGNING A BUILDING?

must be designed for future climate conditions. Wetter winters and sudden, heavy downpours make
it even more important to direct rainwater and meltwater away from houses, paved areas, roads
etc. A milder climate will reduce the durability of building materials and affect the indoor climate
of buildings.

WHY WOULD A PERSON CONSIDER THE AVAILABILITY OF BUILDING MATERIALS FOR A SITE?

This will help to ensure that you do not have to wait for long to get the materials you need. Buying
from a local source will help you to save on shipping costs as well as avoiding building delays.
Readily available materials are also more affordable, and this will help to lower the construction
costs.

WHY SHOULD BUILDINGS HAVE A FIRM FOUNDATION?

its primary purpose is to support the load of the entire building. A well-designed
and strong foundation keeps the building standing while the forces of nature
wreak havoc. Well-built foundations keep the occupants of the building safe
during calamities such as an earthquake, floods, strong winds etc.
