Food Service

EtCetera is a food service food stall that will offer the community an exciting menu of

sandwiches, salads, desserts and beverages. EtCetera will be lead by Ella, Keila,

Christine and Clarissa who all majored in Entrepreneurship. Through a combination of

extensive business experience, valuable academic course work and business skills, Ella,

Keila, Christine and Clarissa will develop a profitable food stall.

 Statement of the Financing Needed

The total Start-Up Expenses will be ₱ 114,500.00. The owners will cater first all the

things that will be needed to start the business. Primarily the rent, furniture and interior,

kitchen equipments and goods.

EtCetera offers variety of food that everyone will love considering the following in the

market to promote excellent and friendly customer service to support the ambience of

fun, energetic and youthful lifestyle.


Sociocultural

EtCetera offers healthy and delicious snacks that are appropriate to the cultural

environment practiced by the society. Et Cetera will cater all consumers in a particular

society, thus satisfying their cravings by meeting their satisfaction that EtCetera can

offer.

Technological

EtCetera is situated at a shopping mall (SM Aura) where numerous of people come and

go. Shopping malls are the new way for families to spend their weekends resulting to

good business space.

Economic

EtCetera is prepared for the general Public. EtCetera offers snacks that are price

affordable among students and workers, both sexes and also appeal to family units.

Politico-legal Condition

The condition of political environment of the Philippines is improving gradually despite

the trade deficit experienced in the country. In additional, taxes in the Philippines are

relatively low compared to other countries in the world.

 Condition of the Specific Environment

Supply and Demand

Currently, Philippines faced changes on prices of different goods that affect the public,

businesses and economic status of the country itself. Yet, despite of this, the demand of

the general public for food is never seen change, thus, resulting to stable demand on the

products offered by EtCetera.

on SM Aura Food On Four. The owners are primarily interested in earning a living to

support themselves and their families.

EtCetera will range in size from 50 – 70 meter square located at “The New Shopping

Address in Town” 4/F Food On four, SM Aura that offers different shopping experience,

largely due to the high-end store located inside the mall. EtCetera will be very accessible

to the public as SM Aura is situated between EDSA and C-5, two major roads Metro

Manila, where millions of people passing by. It is also close to many establishments and

office buildings in the area. The building’s value and popularity, together with luxurious

ambience and accessible location are just some of the reasons why public will love to eat

at EtCetera.

PRODUCTION PLAN

Manufacturing Process

 Making Oozing Sandwich

1. Gather all the necessary ingredients and equipment needed:


- Mayonnaise
- Cheese
- Lettuce leaves
- 2 slices of bread
- 2 thin tomato slices
- 3 strips of bacon
- 1 slice of ham
- Olive oil
- Non-stick skillet/pan
- Spatula
- Plates
- Knife
- Spoon
2. Place the bacon on a pan over medium heat and cook it for 3-5 minutes on each
side.
3. After the bacon, fry the ham and allow it to turn golden brown C on each side.
4. Prepare the two slices of bread and spread mayonnaise on both while waiting for
the ham to fry.
5. Assemble and layer on the bread, starting with the ham, strips of bacon, a slice of
cheese, lettuce, and finally tomatoes.
6. Preheat a non-stick skillet or pan on medium heat and gently place the sandwich.
Gently press the sandwich with a spatula down as it begins to cook to make sure
all the ingredients merge and mingle. If it appears as if the cheese hasn’t melted,
cover the pan and cook on low for another minute.
7. After a few minutes, when one side of the sandwich becomes lightly toasted,
gently flip it over to toast the other side.
8. Remove the sandwich from the pan and slice it diagonally.
9. Serve.

 Making Buttered Corn and Carrots

1. Gather all necessary ingredients and tools to be used such as:


- Kernel Corn
- Carrots
- Butter
- Onion
- Ground pepper
- Frying pan
- Spatula
- Plates
2. Prepare the corn and then cut the carrots into small cubes.
3. Mince the onion.
4. In frying pan, melt the butter in medium heat.
5. Add the chopped carrots and cook for 2-3 minutes.
6. Add onion, corn, salt and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
7. Serve.

 Making Oreo Pancake

1. Gather all necessary ingredients and tools to be used:


- Boxed pancake mix
- One large egg
- Any oil used for frying (i.e. Canola oil)
- Oreos
- Milk
- Purified water
- Large bowl
- Whisk/ Fork
- Deep pot (i.e. Dutch Oven)
- Tissue
-Plates
- Tongs/ Strainer Ladle / Slotted Spoon
- Plates
2. Start by pre-heating the oil to be used for frying, using the deep pot, fill it with oil
about half way or just enough to submerge the Oreos. Place it on a stove set to
medium-high heat.
3. As the oil heats, open one pack of the pancake mix, putting it all in one bowl.
Crack the egg into the same bowl, making sure to take out fallen egg shells if
there’s any. Gradually pour in the milk whilst mixing slowly to prevent any spills.
After poring the milk, add in the water to help the mixture combine and loosen the
batter. The batter should be ready when a figure-8 can be created with the trail of
it. Any lumps are fine, it provides as air pockets for the batter, giving it more
volume and crisp as it fries.
4. Open the pack of Oreos and coat them with the pancake batter. Make sure each
side is coated well.
5. To check if the oil is ready for frying, put a small drop of pancake mix, if it starts
to bubble, then it is ready to use.
6. Put the coated Oreos in by batches, making sure not to overcrowd the fryer in
order to prevent a soggy pancake shell.
7. Make sure to flip the Oreos so none of them gets too burnt or too raw, when the
Oreos become golden brown, the start to remove them, placing them on a plate
lined with tissue to absorb any excess oil.
8. Serve.

 Making Coffee Jelly Ice Pop

1. Gather all necessary equipment and ingredients needed in making Coffee Jelly:
-Black Gulaman powder
- Coffee Powder
- Condensed milk
- Evaporated milk
- Purified water
- Large bowl
- Funnel
- Spoon/ Ladle
- Ice candy wrapper
2. In a pot, bring cups of water to a boil. Add both the Black Gulaman powder and
the coffee powder. Add some sugar and stir until dissolved.
3. Transfer mixture into a baking dish or into a container, allow it to set and cool.
4. Cut the gelatin into small cubes and transfer it to a mixing bowl.
5. In the mixing bowl filled with the cut gelatin, pour in the condensed milk with the
evaporated milk (or if preferred, All Purpose cream).
6. Stir the mixture until the gelatin is evenly combined with the liquids.
7. Use a funnel to pour in the Coffee Jelly mixture in each ice candy wrappers,
making sure to pour in equal amounts and cleaning off any spills. Tie the
wrappers tightly and trim any excess plastic from the wrapper.
8. After putting the Coffee Jelly in plastics, store it in the freezer in order for it to set
and become frozen.
9. Serve.
