The basic model features a grey iron casing, carburized and ground alloy steel spur timing gears se- cured to steel shafts with a taper ‘mounting and locknut, ané grey iron involute impellers. Oversized anti- friction bearings are used, with 2 cylindrical roller beating at the drive shaft to withstand V-belt oul. Deiachable mugged steel mourt- lng feet permit easy infield adept- ability to either vertical or horizon- fal installation requirements. Be- cause of the detachable mounting feet, these units can be ea: adapted to any of four drive shaft positions — right hand, left hand, bottom or top. All frame sizes are ‘centar-timad to allow rotation in ethar direction. The Universal RAI incorporates thrust control, and has grease lube on the drive end and splash oil lube on the gear end.
