    To update Kontakt Portable from versions 5.7.0 or 5.7.1 to 5.7.3, close Kontakt, rename the existing portable folder, select that folder when installing the update, overwrite existing files, check that libraries are present in the Library Manager after running as administrator, and rescan plugins in your DAW to load the updated VSTi version. This process updates Kontakt Portable to 5.7.3 while retaining existing libraries and configurations.

    If you have Kontakt Portable 5.7.0 or 5.7.

    1 installed follow these steps:

    1. Close all instances of Kontakt 5 Portable and temporarily rename existing portable program folder
    to "Kontakt57Portable" (if your existing portable installation folder name is different)

    2. When installing, select destination to that existing folder with previous installation

    3. Click "Yes to all" to overwrite previously installed files

    4. If needed, rename installation folder back to old name (see step 1)

    5. Run Kontakt Portable standalone as administrator and run Library Manager too to check if all your
    libraries are there.

    6. Re-scan plugins in your DAW and load VSTi version 5.7.3 to check

    7. That's it. Kontakt Portable should be fully updated to 5.7.3 and loading should be much faster.
