ABOUT ME
MADI KNUTSON
I am passionate about working
with children to help them learn
and grow. My mom is a teacher,
so I have been emersed in the
education world since I was a
child. Since graduating high
school, I have worked with young
children in a variety of settings.
Because of my passion for
working with young children, I
chose a degree in Early
Childhood Education. After
obtaining my degree in Early
Childhood Education this spring,
I hope to continue to be part of
the education field here in
Northern Colorado.
While working with your child this semester, I am committed to showing up each day
with a positive attitude and ready to learn and grow with your child. Thank you for
letting me be a part of your child’s learning to help build my skills and knowledge as
a future educator.
My name is Madi Knutson, and I will be in
your child’s first-grade classroom this
semester! I am a senior at Colorado State
University studying Early Childhood
Education. I am so excited to be in the
classroom and look forward to learning and
growing with your child! I am especially
excited to be at Eyestone as an Eyestone
Cougar myself! I grew up in Wellington and
was fortunate to continue my higher
education at CSU. I am so glad to have been
able to have stayed close to my family and
friends, as I hang out with my family as
much as possible. I enjoy spending time
with my family and friends as well as doing
many outdoor activities—paddle boarding,
boating, camping, and bike riding.
As a practicum student this semester, I will
be gaining hands-on experience in the
classroom by observing, interacting with
your child, leading large and small groups,
and creating learning experiences for the
class. My goals for this semester are to
improve my knowledge and skills in leading
small and large groups, specifically in math,
to gain more knowledge, skills, and
strategies in classroom management, and
to contribute my knowledge and strengths
to the classroom.
