1. Aim/Overview of the practical:

Creating and configuring GPOs

2. Task to be done:

To study and implement GPO (Group Policy Object).

3. Procedure:

Install Local Security Policy Tool in Windows Control Panel.

In Control Panel navigate like:

Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Tool.

In Security Settings go to Account policies and then go to password policies.

Now go to -> Manage password length and change the minimum length to 4 characters.

After changing the minimum character requirement for the password, we will create a new
user and try to set a password that has less characters than the set limit.
Click on Add a new user to create a local user on the system.
Try to enter a password that is less than the set limit of password length. It will give us the
warning and decline the password set request.

Learning Outcomes:

• Learned about configuring GPO in our system.

• Setting password character limit for new users.
• Understood different Account policies that we can use to manage access and limit
local users’ action in our system.
