HOMEMADE AND YUM YOGHURT RECIPE

Measure 2 CUPS OF milk into a clean bowl

Slowly introduce 1 LITRE of lukewarm water into the bowl


of milk and mix with the whisk or wooden laddle till smooth
and without lumps.

Measure 4 tablespoons of active Starter and slowly


introduce into the milk.

Mix thoroughly using the whisk and cover up your mix, be sure
that your milk is still lukewarm

Keep in a warm place: over , cupboard or store after you have


wrapped with 2 layers of nylon bag and towel.

Keep still for 14 to 20 hours so it would set properly

VOILA! Your regular yoghurt is ready, mix thoroughly and add


sweeteners , color, flavour etc, if too thick , dilute with water.
HOW TO MAKE GREEK YOGHURT
Get a cheese clothe or a tiny hole sieve, in place of cheese
cloth , use Kitchen towels

Fold the cheese clothe into layers, put in the sieve and pour
the portion for GREEK YOGHURT

Leave to drain for 8 hours to ensure all liquid drains


out and scoop out to EAT!

Whey is the liquid remaining after YOGURT has been strained. It is a


byproduct of your Greek yoghurt, the liquid drained out your yoghurt to hav
Greek yoghurt. Whey is quite nutitional and has several benefits.

HOW TO EAT YOGHURT TO LOOSE WEIGHT

Use skimmed milk (Dano skimmed milk or 3 crown is perfect)

Do not use sweetner not even honey

Use fresh fruits like apples, grapes as sweetener or eat your Yoghurt
plain without add ons

Add Ganola to make your yoghurt more filling

Take a glass of Yoghurt atleat once a day as a meal or snacks

Then maintain all other diet rules.

Recipe for Yoghurt /Oat Smoothie for Weight loss

4 table spoons of soaked oats

3 scoops of HOMEMADE AND YUM Unsweetened yoghurt

1 scoop of peanut butter

1/2  cup of choiced fresh fruits

½ glass of ice cubes

Bend till smooth and Enjoy!

HOW TO PRESERVE & RECULTURE
YOGHURTS
Stuff yourself with homemade goodness!

Your yoghurt can stay 2 weeks in your freezer so its adviced to make
quantity that will last only 2 week.

HOW TO CULTURE YOUR YOGHURTS

You can reculture your yoghurt by taking atleast 5 scoops from your
freshly made unsweetened yogurt, this will have active bacteria that
can be used for your next yoghurt. The life span of your recultured
yoghurt is 7 days after which it is no longer active. And note that
inactive starter or culture will not make your yoghurt form properly.

HOMEMADE AND YUM GRANOLA RECIPE

Granola is one yummy mix you can add to your yoghurt to make a
yummy parfait or healthy combination. Below is how to make Granola
at the comfort of your home.
ITEMS NEEDED TO MAKE GRANOLA

Oats,
sweetener (HONEY OR Maple Syrup)
 Oil
nuts or dried fruit.
Coconut chips
INSTRUCTIONS
 Heat up your non-stick pot or oven to low heat
 Ensure your pan is lined with foil paper
 Mix your oats with a little oil with honey, a pinch of salt and
other dry fruits you want to add.
Spread and mix thoroghly.
Pour the coated oat into your pot or baking pan
Bake or heat on low heat till brown and crunchy

Keep an eye on your mixture, keep it on a low heat and stir it


from time to time to help it come out with even brown color.

HOW TO PREPARE YOGHURTS FOR KIDS

The child's bones grow quickly, and the calcium and protein found
in yogurt are essential to children's bone health. ... Children with
regular yogurt intake seem to eat more fruit and whole grains than
the infrequent yogurt consumers. From 6minths old or when they
start taking solids, yoghurt can be introduced. Please do not
overload your kids with yoghurts, healthy portions per time only.
HOW TO PRESENT YOGHURTS TO KIDS
You can entice a child who doesn't like fruits with:

Yoghurt blended with fruits to make smoothie

You can discourage from taking too much of processed


juice and drinks by offering yoghurt, most children love
yoghurt so long it's not too tangy or sour

Invest in a popsicle maker, every child love


some cold popsicles
RECIPE FOR FRUITY YOGHURT SMOOTHIE FOR CHILDREN
Yoghurt
Frozen strawberries
Fresh Orange juice
Bananas
Blend the fruits and orange juice , then add some healthy HOMEMADE
AND YUM YOGHURT and VOILA, smoothie is ready ! You can make some
into frozen popsicles ,if there are left overs

HOW TO MAKE HEALTHY HOMEMADE AND
YUM YOGHURT PARFAIT

Yoghurt Parfaits is one of the easiest , fastest, healthiest and most filling


meal you can have. It can also come in as snacks. Yoghurt parfait is
made by layering yoghurts with fruits (dry or fresh), sweeteners, granola,
chocolates mix and a dash of honey. Then you are ready to Munch!  IT IS
AWESOME! You can use your favourite fruits and the best part is…*drum
roll* It is healthy! What more can you ask for?
 
RECIPE
3scoops of homemade yoghurts
5 pieces of grapes or 3 strawberry cloves or whatever fruit
2.5 table spoon of granola
PARFAIT RECIPE 1
Layer 1/3 cup yogurt into the bottom of a glass cup. Alternate layers of
fruits and granola with yogurt until glass is filled to the top. Serve
parfaits immediately to keep granola crunchy and yum
Top it up with 2 tablespoons of honey (you don’t need the honey if you
use sweetened yoghurt or if you like your yoghurt plain)
PARFAIT RECIPE 2
Add the honey to the plain yoghurt and mix well.
In a clean tall glass cup, layer 1/2 cup of yoghurt at the bottom and allow
to settle.
Then place 1/4 cup fruits followed by 1/4 cup granola etc.
Alternate the layers of fruits and  granola/cereal etc with yoghurt until
the glass is filled.
