2. What are some initial concerns?


The patient Myla is admitted to Metro San Jose Medical Center. The result of her blood calcium level is 13.9
mg/dL. She is complaining that she feels nausea, vomiting, weakness, and loss of appetite. The nurse observed
the patient and she said “Nanghihina ang katawan ko dahil suka ako nang suka” as verbalized by the patient. On
the assessment the vital signs of the patient are T: 37.5C, PR: 70bpm, RR: 18bpm, BP: 140/80mmHg.
