INTRODUCTION
In fuel supply system there are one storage tank strainers, fuel transfer Pump and
all-day fuel tank. Storage tank where oil in stored.
Strainer: This oil then pump to dry tank, by means of transfer pump. During
transferring from main tank to smaller dry tank, the oil passes through strainer to
remove solid impurities.
From dry tank to main tank, there is another pipe connection. This is over flow
pipe. This pipe connection is used to return the oil from dry tank to main tank in
the event of over flowing.
From dry tank the oil is injected in the diesel engine by means of fuel injection
pump.
EXHAUST SYSTEM
The heat produced due to internal combustion, drives the engine. But some parts of
this heat raise the temperature of different parts of the engine. High temperature
may cause permanent damage to the machine. Hence, it is essential to maintain the
overall temperature of the engine to a tolerable level. Cooling system of diesel
power station does exactly so. The cooling system requires a water source, water
source, water pump and cooling towers. The pump circulates water through
cylinder and head jacket. The water takes away heat from the engine and it
becomes hot. The hot water is cooled by cooling towers and is re-circulated for
cooling.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT
ABSTRACT
For over three decades, the Karnataka Power Corporation has been a prime mover
and catalyst behind key power sector reforms in the state measures that have
spiralled steady growth witnessed in both industrial and economic areas.
Right from the year of inception, in 1970, KPCL set its sights on "growth from
within" meeting growing industry needs and reaching out to touch the lives of the
common man, in more ways than one.
INTRODUCTION
The registered and corporate office is functioning from its head office
situated at Bangalore. All the administration of the corporation is managed by the
Managing Director as per the direction of Board of Director, which is constituted
by the Govt. of Karnataka. The KPCL is wholly owned by State Govt. the entire
paid-up capital is held by the Government of Karnataka, Chief Minister and Power
Minister as the chairman and vice chairman respectively are responsible to the
corporation.
from more than 17 generation stations. With its richer experience, commitment to
the work and with the modem management concept the KPCL is able to handle the
major Hydel and Thermal Power projects in the state. The corporation has been
honoured with several awards from Govt. of India, for its outstanding performance
in the field of power generation. It has also managed to bag the rolling shield
award too.
At present KPCL is having strong employee force of more than 6500 both
technical and non-technical staff. The corporation has completed 39 years of
dedicated service to the nation.
ORIGIN OF KPCL
The KPTCL (KEB) purchases the total power produced by the KPCL and
distributes through its transmission lines directly to the consumers, like others
SEBS. The KPCL and KPTCL are both together able to meet the challenges and
power demands of the state and helping the national growth.
Today KPCL takes great pride in experience it has gathered, the expertise it
has developed and the skills it has honed, especially in the planning, investigation,
design, execution and effective operation of large power projects.
KPCL, currently have 20 dams and 24 power stations across the state

KPCL has always believed in keeping pace with the latest technologies. To keep
them operating efficiently and at maximum efficiency, even while increasing their
capacity, KPCL has undertaken the renovation, modernization and uprating (RMU)
of its power station in a phased manner.
The most advanced technology was utilized to uprate al the 10 units of
Sharavathi generating station from 89.1 MW to 103,5 MW, there adding 144 MW
capacity. Outdated rotary mechanical governors have been replacing by state of art
digital excitation to aid the increased system stability.
In Nagjhari power house too, three units have been uprated from 135MW to
150MW and uprating of the remaining three units is ongoing. Additionally, a
comprehensive, time bound plan has been finalized to modernize all old hydro
stations. This plan envisions the setting up of sophisticated equipment and controls
in all the stations by the year 2005.
KPCL also has the distinction of being the first state-owned utility in the
power sector to have established computerized satellite communication network
through very small aperture terminal (VSAT) among all its power stations and in
Bangalore. The hi-tech VSAT network, called shakti net was commissioned in
June 1997.
KPCL's consultancy and engineering services division, as off short of its core
competency, offers its clients a wide range of high-quality services in different
aspects of power project development. This includes:
1. Feasibility studies and preparation of details project reports,
2. Design, engineering procurement and construction services related to
thermal and hydel power stations, including handling of international
competitive bids.
3. Project management from project scheduling to preparation of final invoice
and certification.
KPCL took the lead in mapping potential sites for non-conventional energy
sources such as mini hydel location and windy spots, KPCL established pilot mini
hydel and wind projects of 10.75MW and 4.5MW respectively. This endeavor
and the data base created, as facilitated significant participation by independent
power producers in their areas. Today, a capacity of over 150MW in Hydel and
100MW of wind projects have been possible in Karnataka.
The Karnataka government has initiated a reforms package in the power sector to
improve viability and customer standards. The appointment of an independent
regulator is expected to usher in greater transparency, efficiency and accountability
in the working power utilize like KPCL KPCL recognizes the changing
environment as part of a global movement and has geared itself to be market
driven and customer-friendly, meeting the expectations of all stakeholders.
Multi skilling and structure kill development programmes are effectively put in to
action to upgrade the skills of employees to meet future requirements. Deputation
to higher studies is another step in this direction. KPCL has also structure a
selective voluntary retirement scheme (VRS) in right sizing its work force.
RTPS ranked one among the top ten stations in the country, RTPS as it is well-
known is a coal-based power station that generates on an average 32 million units
per day from seven units of 210MW each. The first four units were commissioned
between 1978 and 1994 In 1999, units 5 and 6 of 210MW were commissioned in
28 and 34 months respectively
RTPS heralded a new beginning in the implementation of thermal power projects.
The pace and success of units 5 & 6 motivated KPCL to further expand by adding
unit-7. These 210mw units synchronized to grid in just 25 months created a new
national record in the history of RTPS implementation.
ABSTRACT
With the increasing growth in the number of industries and the competitive run for
the trophy of perfection and profit, these industries round the globe are in the
lookout for a roof to exhibit their products in the most convenient, profitable and
successful means. Chambers of Commerce and Industrial Associates around the
world conduct expos or large trade fairs and exhibitions with the aim of promoting
their products and companies.
INTRODUCTION:
Introduction to the project:
The industries which have increasing growth want to sell their products and it
consumes a lot of time to sell their products if they go to each and every customer.
And also if people want to buy any product they need to go to different places to
buy them.
So, here is an industrial exhibition where the customers can purchase as many
products, they want with a single transport rate. And even the exhibitors can sell
their products to many people with less risk.
printing reports of booth assignments and analyzing your booth data with statistical
reports.
EXISTING SYSTEM
Chambers of Commerce and Industrial Associates around the world conduct expos
or large trade fairs and exhibitions with the aim of promoting their products and
companies. The organizers face a huge amount of effort in conducting such large-
scale expos. Nevertheless, organizing such exhibitions not only give companies
good exposure but also servers to agree upon big deals and agreements with other
corporate or potential clients.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
By this system we maintain total data by systematic. In this we provide id’s to the
product. By this exhibitor get the information about expo. This system is very easy
to maintain for further uses. In this we can provide data security. There is no
chance for data redundancy.
The use of open audio systems is discouraged. Requests to use an open audio
system must be approved by Exhibit Management, and the exhibitor must agree to
discontinue its use if the sound level is deemed to be objectionable to registrants or
adjacent exhibitors. Noisy electrical or mechanical apparatus interfering with other
exhibitors is prohibited
5. Feasibility Analysis
It is necessary and prudent to evaluate the feasibility of the project at the earliest
possible time. There are many possible ways of checking whether a system is
feasible or not. The following feasibility studies were performed technically,
economically and operationally.
Booth Management
Exhibitor Accounting
PURPOSE:
The main purpose of the project is to maintain total data systematically. And also
to provide Id’s to product.
The organizers face a huge amount of effort in conduction such large scale expos.
By this system we maintain total data by systematic. In this we provide id’s to the
product. By this exhibitor get the information about expo. This system is very easy
to maintain for further uses. In this we can provide data security. There is no
chance for data redundancy.
Customers can get different types of products with less effect and less cost.
2.1.2 SCOPE:
known during the initial stages so that the system can be designed according to
those requirements. It is very difficult to change the system once it has been
designed and on the other hand designing a system, which does not cater to the
requirements of the user, is of no use.
The requirement specification for any system can be broadly stated as given below:
The system should be able to interface with the existing system.
The system should be accurate.
The system should be better than the existing system.
UML DIAGRAMS
UML DIAGRAM
Grady Booch, James Rumbaugh and Ivar Jacobson have collaborated to combine
the best features of their individual object oriented analysis and design methods
into a unified method the Unified Modeling Language. The version 1.0 for the
Unified Modeling was released in january1997.The main parts of UML are based
on the Booch,OMT and OOSE methods.
Use Case Diagrams identify functionality provided by the system(use cases), the
users who interact with the system (actors), and the association between the users
and the functionality. Use Cases used in the analysis phase of software
development to articulate the high-level requirement of the system. The primary
goals of Use Case Diagrams include:
Use Cases extend beyond pictorial diagram. In fact, text-based use cases
description is often used to supplement diagram and exposure use case
functionality in more details. In essence, use case diagram can illustrate the
requirement of the system.
