TECHNICAL PROPOSAL The Existing system Gas detection is Crowcon Gas monitor Plus & contol panel acaled at radio room, Bartec HMI screen as Repeater panels at Drilers Cabin. The system wil be replaced with new Slemens PLC based system with Honeyvel led H2S & HC gas detectors ‘or with Complete Honeywell Gas control panel and Filed devices with additonal gas detectors fo meet the requirements specified in ‘SAUDI ARAMCO requirement for MODU Rigs. ‘The existing gas detection has 14Nos of H2S + 14HC gas detectors, 'ARAMICO Gas Detector Requirement as per SA-DWO-HSERM-002-R0_Section 8-5 Standard Safety Equipment for H2S Operations Offshore, appendix No.3 4. H2S and Combusbie Gas sensors the top ofthe bell ripple (Bell Nipple Fow Line Outlets an acceptable altatve) 2.128 and Combustible Gas sensors a the fowl opering tthe shale shaker. 3.28 Sensor at Dies poston approximately 18 24 inchs above the Dil Flor botween te rotary table andthe Dla Cabin. NOTES: ~ Present Gas Detection System main control pane is located inthe Racio contol oom Level-4 ~ Present gas panel is Cromcon singe channel ype cards with 2Nos of 16-way racks. 01Rack used for H2S sensors, O1Rack s used for HC Sensors, = Present gas detection system is linked with PLC Modules through Modbus communication for Repeater HM Functions, Common, single tepeatr panel used for Fire and Gas panel ~ Diller cabin epeater panels Bartoc HM wth RS 422 Communication fom CP341 Unit fom the PLC UO's ~ Existing Gas sensors Repostoning is required in some areas moot Armco requirements ~ Existing gas sensors forthe LO AHU intakes installed on the duct starting points has been noticed that AHU Units are having 2 intake lines which are opaned in the AHU room & fresh ar cxculation is also considered ftom the passage. Need to relocate AHU duct sensors to infront ofthe AKU unt intake. Existing H2S Sonsor is 2 wires Type & HC Sensor is 3 Wire. Exiting gas detection system alarms are interfaced with PAGA System which iste visual & audible alarms together. Existing {gas alarm status indications as below: 'H2S Low: Only indicaton on Gas panel H2S High: Blue beacon +PAGA Tone HC Low: Only indication on Gas panel HC High: Amber beacon +PAGA Tone ~ Existing Gas detection system isnot having the H2S Dil function isnot avalable in F&G Panel ~ Mud Protection covers are not installed on the onboard available sensors. Exising H2S Sensors are with local csplay & HC Sensors are without local splay (Please nole that all gas detectors should be with local dispiay as per SAES J-505). we wil not change these gas detectors and wait for Aramco's response. The existing system some gas sensors are in faulty condition, these detectors will be quoted separately ‘There are 14 Sets of (H28 & HC) Senso installed in Various Locations as per the drawings which sisted in the Table Below, some ofthe sensors missing in cations ike Dril Floor, Under cantlever and Shale Shaker Areas. No Access to allocations. ~ Existing gas sensors are not covering alte locations as per Aramco & new sensor requirement st as given in below table.
