LETTER OF INTENT

In today’s competitive world where boundaries are disappearing because of globalization, businesses needs to
remain on their toes to maintain the uninterrupted supply of products in order to stay afloat. Supply Chain
Management was never as important in the past as it has become now as the manufacturing is also getting
concentrated in certain areas of the world and suppliers are enjoying monopolistic set-ups. The innovations
required in the field and the strategic implementation of the ideas stimulate my mind more than a sport or
movie. It is something that gives me immense pleasure and this made me determined to pursue my course in
the field of Supply Chain Management. Consequently, I applied for Post- Graduate Certificate of Supply Chain
Management.

This program is an eight month Ontario College Graduate Certificate designed for university and college
graduates looking for a career in logistics and the supply chain management sector. I will learn about
manufacturing operations, purchasing, transportation and physical distribution in private and public industry.
The program offers integration of negotiating skills, managerial accounting, professional communication,
quality assurance and risk management, and value-added components to enhance global competitiveness.

ACADEMIC AND FAMILY BACKGROUND:

I’m living in a nuclear family with my parents. My father is an agriculturist and my mother is a home organizer.
My family has been a strong pillar for me standing beside me in every step of my life. As far as my educational
history is concerned I have completed my secondary from Council for the Indian school certificate
examinations, New Delhi in 2012. I have completed my senior secondary education from the state board of
Punjab in 2014 with 62%. After this, I have completed my Bachelor of Science (Honours) Agriculture with 7.31
CGPA in the Department of Agriculture from DAV University (Jalandhar) in. Further, I completed the degree of
Master of Business Administration (Agri - business) with 7.07 OCPA in 2020 from Punjab Agricultural
University Ludhiana, India in September 2020.

Work Experience

In the meantime I got myself appointed as on Assistant Manager on 10th August 2020 to till date working in
Punjab Agri Export Corporation LTD. in Chandigarh. While working there I sensed my creativity and passion in
supply chain management and then I decided to find my interest in it. After searching a lot I got to know that
there is no institution in my country where I can immediately start my further studies as competitions will take
more than one year to get into the premier ones. So I have decided to carry on my further studies at one of
the finest institutes in Canada.

After this to complete the English proficiency requirements at an international level, I prepared myself for
IELTS examination and appeared on 17th April,2021 for this exam and got overall 7.0 bands score. My
individual scoring is : Listening-7.5, Reading-7.5, Writing-6.5, Speaking-6.5.

Canada is considered one of the best places for studies as it is internationally recognized. In academic
performance and rate of graduate employability education providers of Canada has a good reputation since
long time. It emphasizes more on providing high quality of education to its students through small sized
classrooms to focus on each and every student. Its result oriented and experienced academic staff provides
student’s curriculum updated teachings so as to prepare them for future opportunities. It helps students to

The best thing I found that Canadian environment is very familiar for

international including Indian students. Compared to countries like UK and USA, cost of education in Canada is
quite moderate.  Education providers here teach both English and French language as an essential part of
Canadian education to improve fluency for further studies and are ready to grab future opportunities.
Canadian culture is more diverse and vibrant. Canada has a multicultural environment with people of all
religions, races and cultures. People of Canada are extremely friendly and welcoming. Canada’s high academic
standards and rigorous quality controls mean that I will be earning a high-quality education that will open
doors for my future and benefit my career over the long term. So I conclude that I have chosen right country
for my further education and much excited to do my further studies in Canada.

ABOUT MY PROGRAM i.e., Post - Graduate Certificate=Supply Chain Management:

 Supply Chain Management graduate certificate program puts one at the center of global business
logistics. I will learn to analyze business processes in the marketplace, develop product/ service
demand forecasts, assess supplier needs and capabilities, and develop production plans and schedules
utilizing current technology such as systems, Applications, and Products in data processing (SAP).
 Get to learn about customer handling strategies: Customers are demanding flexibility, options, rapid
delivery and just-in-time support. Effective management of supply chain can give me a competitive
advantage in this sophisticated environment. Today's successful supply chain managers must be
strategists, able to synchronize every effort involved in the process: planning, sourcing, producing and
delivering a product or service.
 As the Government of India has rated the employment scenario for the supply chain management
sector or two out of three stars. Considering that employment growth is expected to be strong and a
large number of people are expected to retire and new job opportunities will open for the new
professionals. So this graduate certificate and the upcoming period of time of my study will boost my
career in India and it will act as like a catalyst to uplift my career here in my own nation.

CAREER PLANS:

After completion of this program, there are exceptional job vacancies for senior business management
departments. As the possible occupational fields are:

My determination in pursuing a study in Canada is clear with a specific study plan for a career escalation path
with the 8 month course of supply chain management. After completing my course I will come back and work
in my country. Because of Canadian qualification many management sectors regarding my course will open
doors for me in India and these are the highest-paid professionals in the corporate sector, with an average
earning of approximately INR 8-9 lakh per year.
