    Before clinical low vision care:


     53% Distance VA < 6/60 (0.1 -
    20/200)
     47% 6/60 - < 6/18 (0.3 - 20/60)

    After refraction:
     32% VA < 6/60 (0.1) = ‘severe LV’
     54% VA 6/60 – 6/18 = ‘mild LV’
     14% Normal vision
    LEVELS OF DISTANCE VISION

     < 3/60 (20/400) = very poor vision

    - Cannot read blackboard from first row


    - Many need braille (or braille and print)

     3/60- < 6/60 = poor vision

     6/60 – 6/19 = vision not too ‘bad

    - Most can read blackboard from front row
