the poem.

Ans: The poem is about a palm tree which is the subject. The palm tree
dreams about being able to fly like a bird thinking of its fronds as wings
and its trunk as a leg. Its thoughts finally return to mother earth.

sad, defiant, thoughtful, triumphant or unemotional?

Ans: The mood or atmosphere of the poem is that its subject is thoughtful and
triumphant as it enjoyed the thoughts of flying but was also happy to
return its thoughts back to its home - mother earth.

Q5. Does the poet offer us a message or a point of view through this poem?
If so, what is it?

Ans: The poet conveys a message of allowing our thoughts to wander but try
to be more realistic so these thoughts can be implemented through
actions.
