3-DAY SECURITY DRIVING COURSE

The following course is specifically designed for drivers that work in areas that have a high security risk.
Through hands-on experience, students increase their standard of driving and learn practical driving
maneuvers in realistic emergency situations. Students learn the proper mindset to develop threat
recognition and evasive driving skills and learn to successfully identify, avoid and/or counter the threat.

All the training days are divided into small sections of theory followed by hands on practical driving
techniques with our professional instructors.

Why include vehicle dynamics and car control? Whether facing adverse road conditions, poor levels of
driving standards or armed hostilities, Africa’s roads represent some of the most challenging and
dangerous conditions in the world. Without knowing how to handle your vehicle properly, you have less
chance of staying safe while driving or escaping potentially dangerous situations.

Unique Methodology
Glen Edmunds Advanced Driving provides a capability that no other driver training provider in Africa
currently has – the capability to objectively, scientifically evaluate an individual student’s overall
performance as well as their incremental improvement in each exercise. This evaluation methodology
also provides us the ability to establish clearly defined and measurable performance objectives for
each exercise and accurately determine if those objectives have been met.

Benefits of taking this course:

 To reduce an individual’s potential for risk whilst carrying out their duty or going about
their daily lives.
 Developing skills for detecting, deterring and defeating attacks while mobile
 Provide the participant with the skill, ability and practical experience needed to deal
with the worst-case scenario, a vehicle ambush.
 Developing confidence when driving in areas of high risk.
 Extends the company’s HSSE (Health Safety Security Environment) policy to the task of
driving.

Course is Delivered by: Kenyan instructors that are Internationally accredited Advanced Driving
Instructors (Highfields, UK and Vehicle Dynamics Institute, USA). They are the only driving instructors
in Africa with this prestigious qualification.
Certification: a certificate is awarded, however drivers have to achieve an 80% pass mark for the first
two days of the course. Those who do not pass are allotted a free day to return to improve their skills
and bolster their scores.

Course Accreditation: Internationally accredited through Pearson, UK.
