Derechos, Productos y Aprovechamientos (DPA)


Use this option to execute your Derechos, Productos y Aprovechamientos (DPA) tax payment from a great variety of Mexican
Federal agencies. Please note that this option is only offered if the DPA does not contain fines or additional fees (recargos) and
because it is considered a special tax payment, your payment instruction has to be sent at least two days prior its desired
execution date.
Please consider that specifically for special tax payments, as the ones included in this guide, up to ten (10) payments can be
processed per client per day - special conditions shall apply and appear at the end of the section for your reference; kindly
contact your Treasury Sales Officer if you are in need of additional support.
Go to Payments > Payment Input
Select a MXN account held at Bank of America Mexico, the “Payment Entry” screen appears.
In the drop-down menu, choose “Domestic High Value (Wire)” as Payment Type. The SPEI entry screen appears.

Credit Amount

Input the total DPA amount.

Reason for Payment Numeric Reference

In order to identify your DPA payment, please use the Periodo (1 digit) + Clave de Dependencia (2 digits)
information contained in your DPA invoice as follows to
create a capture line/reference:

“R” + Clave de Referencia (9 characters) + “D” + Cadena de


Dependencia (14 characters) + “Y” + Ejercicio (2 digits) + “S”
Subperiodo (4 digits)

see the tables below:

R 1 Fixed Always “R”. It indicates that the following numbers are the Clave de
Referencia
Clave de Referencia 9 Numeric
Also known as “Reference Key”, it is a nine-digit reference
Reference Key
D 1 Fixed Always “D”. It indicates that the following numbers are the Cadena
de Dependencia
Cadena de Dependencia 14 Alphanumeric Also known as “Institution Reference”, is a fourteen-character
Institution Reference reference.
Y 1 Fixed Always “Y”. It indicates that the following numbers are the Year of
the tax payment
Ejercicio 2 Numeric The last two digits of the Year of the tax payment; i.e. To indicate
Year 2020, “20” is used. If no “Ejercicio” is indicated, please write “00”
instead
S 1 Fixed Always “S”. It indicates the date range in months of the tax payment
Sub-Periodo 4 Numeric The first two digits indicate the month that marks the beginning of
Sub-period (Months) the period, and the last two digits indicate the last month of the
period. See the Months of the Period codes table A below for more
details.
i.e. If it is a monthly payment for the month of June (month 06),
write down “0606”, if it is a 3-month payment from January (month
01) to March (month 03), kindly use “0103”

Clave de Dependencia (IC) 2 Numeric Also known as “Institution Code”, is a two-digit reference that

• Maximum volume of 10 special tax payments per client per day. Additional volume will not be processed and funds
will be returned to your account.
• Service is available from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM Central Time (Mexico City time) during working days
• Service is only offered if the DPA does not contain fines or additional fees (recargos). Kindly refer to “Other manual tax
payments” section if you have a DPA payment with fines or additional fees.
• Payments-on-behalf-of (POBO) are not accepted in this scheme. The payments will be applied on the name of the
account from where the funds are disbursed.
• Payment instruction has to be sent from your side at least two days prior its desired execution date.

Mexico City Tax Payments


Use this option to execute your Mexico City tax payments regarding payroll, water supply rights, traffic fines and/or treasury
taxes. Please note that this option is only offered if the tax payment does not contain additional fees (in the case of a payroll
payment, Complimentary Payments are not accepted) and as a special tax payment, it has to be sent at least two days prior its
execution date.
Please consider that specifically for special tax payments, as the ones included in this guide, up to ten (10) payments can be
processed per client per day - special conditions shall apply and appear at the end of the section for your reference; kindly
contact your Treasury Sales Officer if you are in need of additional support.
Go to Payments > Payment Input
Select a MXN account held at Bank of America Mexico, the “Payment Entry” screen appears.
In the drop-down menu, choose “Domestic High Value (Wire)” as Payment Type. The SPEI entry screen appears.

Reason for Payment Numeric Reference

In order to identify your Mexico City Tax payment, please use For Payroll - Number of taxed employees
the information contained in your invoice as follows to create a (Trabajadores gravados)
capture line/reference: For Water supply rights – last 4 digits of the 16-digit
water account number, populated without dashes.
“C” + Type of Tax (“P”, “W”, “F”, “T”) + Capture Line (20
characters) + “-” + Taxed remuneration (payroll) or 12 first digits
of the 16-digit water account number (water supply rights).

Other Manual Tax Payments


Use this option to execute your payments that meet the following criteria:
• It is a DPA Payment with fines or additional fees
• It is a DPA Payment paid on-behalf of an individual 1
• It is a Mexico city tax payment that is not one of the next sub-categories:
o Payroll
o Water supply rights
o Traffic fines
o Treasury tax
• It is a Mexico city tax payment with fines or additional fees
• It is a Social Security payment processed in a SUA scheme 2

Please consider that specifically for special tax payments, as the ones included in this guide, up to ten (10) payments can be
processed per client per day - special conditions shall apply and appear at the end of the section for your reference; kindly
contact your Treasury Sales Officer if you are in need of additional support.
Go to Payments > Payment Input

Important notes:

• A DPA Layout will only be used by clients in need to process up to 10 DPA payments per day (special
conditions may apply). Client is solely responsible for the information provided in the DPA layout. If the
amount that appears in the DPA layout is not the same as the amount in this payment, the DPA will not be
processed and the funds will be returned to your account in a maximum of 2 working days.

Client must attach the DPA Layout on the first DPA payment, next to the DPA document (“hoja de ayuda”).

Please refer to annex C to download the DPA Layout.

• It is mandatory to send a separate email from your company account including the receipt (invoice or hoja
de ayuda) of the Mexico City tax to pay or social security file with the SUA extension at the following
addresses:

o operationsinquiresmx@bofa.com

• Cut-off time is 2:30 PM CST (Mexico City Time) – If the payment is received after cut-off time, it will be
taken into account the next working day. Please consider that this type of payments must be instructed
from your side two working days prior the desired execution date.
