Objectives
▪ Determine the different nutrients and its function;
▪ Develop an infomercial pertaining to the different food
patterns of other countries; and
▪ Perform a cooking activity
Nutrition
▪ Is the science of food and how the body uses it for health and against
diseases.

Essential Nutrients
Substances the body must get from foods.

The body requires about 45 essential nutrients

These include proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins,


minerals, and water

1. Bread and Cereals - Carbohydrates - Energy Pasta, rice, cereals,


(grains) - Fiber - Digestion bread, potatoes, etc.

In Narrative Format, at least 3
paragraphs which answers the questions:
What (are their beliefs), Why (do they
believe this), and What do you think
(personally) of such belief.
A minimum of 10 minutes and a maximum of 15
minutes infomercial of a nutritious dish you and
your family can enjoy!

Infomercial Rubrics:
Uniqueness of the food 50%

Knowledge/clarity of presentation 30%

Creativity of presentation 20%

Total: 100%
