What is green building? What makes a building green?

A 'green' building is a building that, in its Efficient use of energy, water and other resources
design, construction or operation, reduces or Use of renewable energy, such as solar energy
eliminates negative impacts, and can create Pollution & waste reduction measures, enabling of reuse & recycling
positive impacts, on our climate and natural Good indoor environmental air quality

There are a number of features which can
make a building "green'. These include:

Efficient use of energy, water and other resources

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) • Silver: 50-59 points
• Gold 60-79 points
It is a green bullding certification program used worldwide • Platinum: 80 points and above
Developed by the non-profit U.S, Green Building Council (USGBO), It Includes a set of

rating systems for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of green

buildings, homes, and neighborhoods, which aims to help building owners and operators

be environmentally responsible and use resources efficiently.

The certification process for design teams consists of the design application, under the

purview of the architect and the engineer and documented in the official construction

drawings, and the construction application, under the purvlew of the building contractor

and documented during the construction and commissioning of the bullding.

INFINITY
BENCHMARK
It is a Platinum rated Green Building as certified by the U.S.
Green Building Council (USGBC) under LEED Core & Shell ver. 2.0.
This is amongst 7 such buildings in the world, 2nd outside USA &
the first in eastern India. The building has the maximum flexibility

and cost efficiency for activities ranging from wet laboratories to

software development, IT services, and even data centers. Well

connected roads and with the nearby International airport,

Infinity Benchmark is easily accessible for the working

community. Tenants are also able to enjoy the wide range of

amenities on offer within the building such as restaurants, cafes,

food court, business centers, ATMs, banks, medicine shops.
