The BOMAG MPH 122 is the solution for uni-
versal use on the stabilization of low load
bearing soils and the recycling of road pave-
ments. The MPH 122 has proven itself over
years on tough applications across the
globe.

This high performance stabiliser/recycler

continues to prove its capabilities on a wide
range of construction sites. From smaller
works lasting just a few days, to large-scale
construction sites dealing with high volumes
scheduled over several months. The high
quality mix results achieved with this unit are
consistent regardless of the soil condition or
the additive type.

Range of applications
For soil stabilization, the MPH 122 is used to
improve and strengthen existing soils by
mixing in lime, fly ash or cement. In recycling
applications the machine is used to cut and
pulverize old, damaged surfaces and road

systems for water, bitumen emulsion and foam

Extended applications
For road recycling and soil stabilization bitu-
men injection systems are available together
with a water dosing system. With these
systems additives can measured and applied
separately to the mixing chamber during the
milling process.
Water system
The water spray bar feeds water to the bea-
ring course material, to provide the optimum
moisture content for compaction. In automa-
tic mode the system adds the correct water
quantity for the current working speed. The
injection nozzles can be controlled independ-
ently, so that on overlaps or when working on
hard shoulders precise working widths can
be selected.
Bitumen additive system
The BOMAG bitumen dosing system is avai-
lable in the following designs:
• Emulsion system.
• Foam bitumen system, also suitable for
bitumen emulsion.
The system components are installed onto
the machine. All bitumen pipes are warmed
by thermal oil heating. All injection nozzles
and expansion chambers are protected insi-
de the heat insulated spray bar. The nozzles
can be controlled in pairs to suit the injection
width.
The basic model is equipped with emulsion
and foam bitumen systems with manual
dosing control, whereby the desired bitumen
flow quantity for a given working speed must
be inputted as a fixed value. Both systems
are also available with computer control,
equipped with a BOMAG dosing computer
with touchscreen display. In this case the
required binder quantity is automatically
added appropriate to working speed of the

displayed and recorded and can be printed
