The aim of this position is to develop and implement maintenance programs for water
and wastewater assets and document procedures relating to those assets. The role
will ensure that field data is processed and presented to stakeholders, a rational
approach is used in developing maintenance programs, including effective

management of the risk, performance and improvements over time. The role will
contribute to establishing budgets, monitoring programs and projects across asset
management and to the development of Council’s asset maintenance software
systems.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement Asset Maintenance Programs to ensure that Council’s assets are
maintained in accordance with the governing maintenance methodology.
• Creation of new assets and maintenance plans in the Maintenance Management System (MMS),
reference to compliance standards, manuals, historical data and industry best practices to
continuously improve maintenance programs.
• Develop Asset Class Plans and assist in the implementation of Condition Assessment Programs.
• Create risk-based work packages based on criticality and asset condition.
• Actively improve the integrity of asset and information registers.
• Liaise with Operation and Scheduling teams to ensure effective implementation of preventative asset
maintenance programs.
