PROOF OF NEED

The value of education is something that I have understood since a very young age.
Neither of my parents had an opportunity to attend college and faced many
struggles in their personal and professional lives because of this. They committed
early in my life to do everything within their power to instill in me a love of
learning and an understanding of the importance of hard work and dedication.

I am in need of financial assistance in order to graduate from university next

academic year because I am a low-income student. I am the 1st child of my parents
to attend university. Although my parents gave me many supports, I received
limited financial assistance due to my low family income. To reduce family
burden, they took out loans from banks and creditors to pay for my tuition.
Meanwhile, I am working every day during vacations to support myself. However,
with the increasing tuition this year, I am facing more challenges with financial
needs. As a senior in Human Resource Management, I wish to spend more time on
my major courses because these courses are the cores of my major and crucial in
my future career. Unfortunately, the financial burden may lessen my time to master
the courses. Therefore, I would greatly appreciate a helping hand so that I can
successfully obtain my management degree.

Awarding this scholarship would allow me to work less and focus more on my
studies.it will also lessen the financial burden on my parents greatly. My father
who was diagnosed with severe stroke in the early stages of my life lost his job and
became bedridden for a long time breaking the financial strength of the family
because he was the pillar and the head. Despite all these tragic events, my parents
are striving to cater for the basic needs of three kids with me being inclusive.
Additionally, awarding this scholarship would further motivate me to pursue
academic excellence. Thank you.
