Dear coordinator of admissions,

With this letter I would like to express my interest in obtaining a place to study a degree
in Industrial Design. For several years, I have been interested in the field of design,
focusing, and wondering about the processes of this. Nourishing myself with information
about the different professions in the arts and engineering. At the same time, I
collaborated in artistic projects maximizing the use of spaces in my home and
formulating ideas into tangible objects, giving them different forms in drawings and
sketches.

I am an 18-year-old student, born and raised in the Dominican Republic. I successfully

completed my primary and secondary education at New Horizons Bilingual School,
where I was exposed to interactive systems of learning and an atmosphere founded on
values like responsibility and perseverance.

During my years of study in this institution, I was introduced to foreign languages like
English and Italian, having mastered and being recognized for my accomplishments
both in pronunciation and grammar. This allowed me to develop skills like sophisticated
diction, adaptability, and social interactions, which I believe are critical for my future
disinvolvement both professionally and personally.

On another hand, my interests for technology and modern advances, has allowed me to
stand out on the coding and programming areas. I participated in clubs and AP subjects
like AP Computer Science and Principles, which helped me expand my understanding
about software processes and the creation of web pages, developing digital skills like
programming with JavaScript, editing with Photo Shop and Adobe Illustrator, and
developing financial data with programs like Power BI.

All these experiences helped me shape the person I am today, which I would describe
as a capable, technological, and adaptable. Besides from my academic achievements,
I am a compassionate and giving person, shown in my contributions on community
service organizations like Best Buddies, Star Group NH, among others.

Often, I like to describe myself as a determined and motivated person, this is because
of my ability to see beyond my present self. I always like to make life-long plans when
I’m stepping into a new chapter of my life, like what my reality will look like in 5 to 10
years. Personally, I see myself having a fun, and dynamic job that allows me to juggle
between different interests, and or hobbies in my life.

At this moment, I have many professions of interests, varying from furniture, automotive,
and electronic design. I believe that any of these will allow me to enjoy my work
experience and expand myself as a brand. It may be a cliché thing to say, but I always
say that my ultimate life goal is to inspire people and make this world a more habitable
place. I’ve always been inspired by different objects and their designs, which made
questions pop up in my head, allowing me to explore areas of engineering and
understand the process and art behind the creator.

In conclusion, the experiences, ideas, and accomplishments I’ve discussed in this letter
have not only developed my curiosity and ambition for an area of study with many
possibilities in which I can develop my creativity and make a professional living from it. I
sincerely believe that, after studying at this university, many doors will open for me at an
international level.
