Week 1 – English Reader – Ch -4, Mowgli is king.. - To introduce the topic teacher will sing the title
song of ‘Jungle book’ that is ‘jungle, jungle pata chala hai…’and will ask the children to name the
Movie. Then she will announce the topic that today we will read the chapter ‘Mowgli is King’.
Warm-up – Teacher will ask one child to read the activity of Mowgli and other will be asked to read the
activity of a city boy.
Students will be taught, through comparison between the life of Mowgli in jungle with that of a child
living in a town or a city.
Blackboard race – class will be divided into two groups. Each group will be given a word that will be
written on board. Student of each group will be asked to write a word with the last letter of the word
written on board. The group which finishes it fast wins.
Teacher will ask the children to read the chapter, pg.no - 45, turn wise, and she will explain the
meaning simultaneously. Students will be taught to be sensitized towards animals.
Teacher will ask the children to read the chapter, pg.no - 46, turn wise, and she will explain the
meaning simultaneously.
Students will be taught about the importance of good friends in our life.
Also about Mowgli’s friends and how they helped Mowgli. Teacher will ask the children to read the
chapter, pg.no - 47, turn wise, and she will explain the meaning simultaneously.
Listening skill of the chapter – Teacher will read and explain a story about Karan, who lost his way in a
forest, and will ask the students to do the exercise given on pg.no -49, in book.
Week 2 – English Grammar– Simple Present Tense and simple past tense- The concept of simple
Present tense will be given. Teacher will explain to the students that in Simple present tense we always
talk about something which is always true. Like – The Sun rises in the east and sets in the west.
Asia is the biggest continent., etc.. Teacher will guide the students and ask them to do exercise- A of
pg.no – 22, B of pg.no – 23.
The concept of simple past tense will be given again. Teacher will explain to the students that – we
usually add ‘d’ or ‘ed’ to verb in simple past tense. Teacher will guide the students and ask them to do
exercise-D of pg.no -24,exercise - E of pg.no – 25, exercise -A, of pg.no -36 and exercise –B, of pg.no –
38 in book
Week 3 –Reading comprehension- Comprehension is the understanding and interpretation of what
is read. To be able to accurately understand written material. Teacher will give them a short story to
read and certain question from the story, to answer. By reading the story children will be able to
understand, what they read and will be able to give answers of the given questions.
Week 4 – English Creative writers – Unit – 6-I can describe a scene - Teacher will explain to the
students that a scene is a place, with people, objects and events in it. Writing a scene is a wonderful
way to tell others about what we see.
Teacher will show an image of a busy supermarket. She will ask the children to identify the place and
will listen to their response. Then she will ask them to identify some people and things that they can
see in the scene. She will ask them to make a list of it. She will ask them to describe the place, people
and things in the picture using specific adjectives like – careless old man, busy supermarket, etc. Next,
she will ask them to frame sentences describing the scene, people and about things.

तैयार करें ।

Silent Reading
The children will take books of their own choice from the class library and give silent reading.

The teacher will make the child read the chapter in the class.

Echo Reading

The teacher reads a segment of text aloud while students follow along. Then students reread the same
segment in unison.
 Choose a text that is appropriate for the reading level of your students.
 Read a segment of the text aloud to students.
 Point out the text-specific reading rate you use and the way that you emphasize certain phrases or
voiced emotion
 Reread the text segment again and have students echo your reading after you have stopped
reading.
 Move on to more difficult text according to your student’s success and interest.
