Conditionals

Conditionals express the consequence of something that could happen,


in the present or future, or could have happened but didn’t occur in the past.

● There are four conditional structures:


○ Zero conditional: if + present simple … present simple
○ First conditional: if + present simple … will + infinitive
○ Second conditional: if + past simple … would + infinitive
○ Third conditional: if + past perfect … would have + past participle
