READING PLAN in ENGLISH FOR GRADE 4 STRUGLING READERS
S.Y. 2021 – 2022

Objective – 1. Ensure all grade 4 pupils are successful in reading.

2. Encourage the low performing pupils to read.
3. Uplift their interest in reading.
4. Help pupils closely examine words and detect similar and different.
5. Help develop pupil’s love for reading.

Problem: 13% of the Grade 4 learners are struggling in reading and comprehension.

Target: After 3 months, 100% of the struggling readers had increase reading proficiency.

Plan – Starting November 8, 2021 to February 8, 2021, give each struggling learners “Guided Reading
Plan” weekly. Family support must be encourage for better result.

for the meaning of each word. Write them on your notebooks.
Wort Sort – sort the synonyms and antonyms, words with same sound pattern and common spelling.
ABC Activity – from the story, list down at least 20 words alphabetically.
