Course Title: Principles of Occupational

Safety and Health

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course provides an introduction to health and safety for anyone working
in a low to medium risk environment. It provides the knowledge and
understanding required to go on to achieve a level 2 health and safety
qualification.

COURSE LEARNING At the end of the course, the participants will be able to;
OUTCOMES:
 Identify roles and duties for health, safety and welfare in the
 Workplace.
 Identify and list the risks in workplace.
 Discuss how risk assessments improve health and safety at work
 Recognize the procedures for responding to accidents, near
misses and ill-health in the workplace
