Installing Delft3D 4.04.01 on Windows 10
You can download the MATLAB compiler and Delft3D installation files from https://software.tudelft.nl

Before you begin


The following instructions are supported by TU Delft and have been tested to be working. We are offering this
manual to you as an extra service. In the event you have a different configuration or version of the OS to the
one described here and you have problems, we advise you to contact your nearest Service Desk, Student IT Desk
(SID) or Workplace Services (WPS).

Prerequisites
In order to install Deltares Delft3D, make sure that you are running Windows 10 and that you have access to the
administrator rights of your device.

Part 1: Installing the MATLAB compiler

Step 01: Download the MCRInstaller from Step 02: Start the installation of the MATLAB compiler by
https://software.tudelft.nl and run the .exe file pressing ’next’.
(MCR_R2013b_win64_installer.exe). You will see the
following pop­up appear: wait for the process to finish.

Step 03: Read the terms of the license agreement, select Step 04: Specify where you want to install the software,
’yes’ and press ’next’. preferably in the ’Program Files’ folder of your computer.
Then, press ’next’.

Step 05: Confirm the installation by pressing ’Install’. Step 06: Wait for the installation process to finish. This can
take a couple of minutes.

Step 07: The installation of the MATLAB compiler has been


completed! Select ’Finish’ and move on to the second part
of the manual.

Part 2: Installing Deltares Delft3D

Step 08: Download the Deltares Delft3D installation Step 09: Read the terms in the License Agreement, select

Part 3: Adding the licence path to Windows 10

Step 20: Now the license has been added and you are
ready to use Delft3D!
REMEMBER: in order to use the network license, you must
either be connected directly to the on­campus TU Delft net­
work or use a VPN connection to connect to the TU Delft
network.
