The Warehouse of

ECOSTYLE  ECOstyle, designed and

developed by Zethoven
WAREHOUSE Bouwplan Groep, has won
the International BREEAM
It’s built to blend in to the surroundings, and its Award 2016 and can thus
stone walls create mini-habitats for wildlife. It call itself one of the most
generates enough electricity from its solar sustainable buildings in the
panels to export to the grid, and it captures its world
own water from the rain

The project included the new construction of 1.200m2

office and approximately 4.700m2 warehouse (13.0m
high). Sustainability and ecology play an important role in
the continuation of ECOstyle's vision. However, put in a
proper balance with usability and affordability. The building
nevertheless received a special appearance. Both the
office and the warehouse have a BREEAM outstanding 5
star certificate, with which a start has been made with
regard to the great sustainability ambition. In the choice of
materials, attention was paid to the Cradle-to-cradle
principle and the overall sustainability of selected
(biobased) materials. The buildings are self-sufficient in
terms of energy, purify their own sewage water and re-use
rainwater. The construction site in Oosterwolde (Fr) is on
the unique ECOmunity park developed by the same client.

MANAGEMENT- The entire construction site must

meet the requirements of Conscious Builders and
there will be a strict one Policy on the environment.
The contractor serves CO² emissions and energy
consumption

POLLUTION- In the design of the technical

installations, the search was as sustainable as
possible heating system, where the NOx emissions
are limited as far as possible.

LAND USE AND ECOLOGY- The building will take

place at the ECOmunitypark, the first business park
ever to have a 5 stars has won Outstanding rating.
The park has been developed on former arable land.
A new habitat is being created for plants and animal

MATERIALS - Sustainable materials have been

chosen for the new construction of ECOstyle. Not
only sustainable ecological sense (FSC timber), but
also especially in a business sense.

HEALTH - Both objects will be equipped with

energy-efficient LED lighting, which both is
controlled via presence detection as well as manual
switching. To the south and west of the office
automatic sun protection is placed.
DOODLE
ENERGY - In the development
of the office and warehouse,
energy neutral has become high
on the agenda. Both the office
and the warehouse have
received an EPC> 0.0. With this
the buildings are energy-neutral
and meet the highest credit
score that is possible at ENE1.
