The feedback that I have learned from this assignment is that the life, works, and writings of Dr.
Jose Rizal in his early childhood days (0-8 years old) is important for a couple of reasons. Jose
Rizal in his early days is already being known as an intelligent person in the Philippines because
of his brilliance in writing literatures and his faith to God. Rizal was learned to become a religious
person because her mother was a devout Catholic. Rizal’s mother taught Jose to always remember
the prayers and novenas that their religion has taught. Aside from being religious to God, Rizal
also wrote a poem about the children. The poem about children taught a lot of lessons to learn.
Rizal proudly proclaimed in a poem that a people who truly love their native language will surely
strive for liberty like “the bird which soars to free space above” and that Tagalog is the equal of
Latin, English, Spanish, and any other language. Another reason for the importance of the life,
works, and writings of Jose Rizal in his early childhood days is that in Rizal’s early age, he already
contributed a lot to his own country like the Spanish coat of arms painting that was done in
Calamba, making sketches with his pencil, and even being a magician in his own good.
