3. Raise your thumb if you agree.
4. Thumbs down if you disagree.

Motivation:
Show learners different emotions.
Ask them, “How are you feeling today?”, “How do you feel today?”

B. DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITIES:
1. Presentation: Get Acquainted
Today, we will be exploring our feelings! Sometimes, when we pay close
attention to ourselves and give time to actually check in with how we are
feeling, we might notice that we have more than one feeling at a time.

2. Activity: You Got Me!

Directions:
1. You will be given a piece of paper and coloring material. Keep quiet and
gently close your eyes or lower your gaze to the floor and listen to the
music playing.
2. Think of the time when you felt confident, brave, excited, happy, cared
for, determined, lonely, hurt, jealous, shy, embarrassed or confused.
3. Slowly open your eyes. “How are you feeling today?”
4. On your sheet of paper, draw a picture with the colors that match the way
you feel right now.
5. When you are done, share your drawing to the class.

3. Analysis: Let’s Get into It!

SYNTHESIS QUESTIONS AND POINTS:
1. How many feelings do you have today?
2. Do you usually notice one feeling at a time or many altogether? When
you notice them, what goes on in your mind?
3. What feeling/s did you show in your picture?
4. What was it like to represent your feelings through colors and images?
5. What was it like to listen to your classmates’ feelings and see their
drawings?
6. How did this exercise help you understand your feelings?
7. How did this exercise help you understand your classmates?

4. Abstraction: Remember this!

All feelings are valid and how we express them is something we can learn
more about. Although it takes time to learn how to navigate through our
emotions, being curious about our difficult emotions and trusting that they
will pass is a healthy way to deal with difficult emotions. When we learn
about them, we grow our ability to self-regulate and learn that there are
many ways to do so. Self-regulation is the ability to manage one’s emotions.

C. CONCLUDING ACTIVITIES:
1. Generalization:
How are you feeling today?
2. Application:
On the reverse page of your paper, draw an emoticon that best describes
your feeling for today.

IV. EVALUATION
Directions: Express It! Present to the class the emoticon you draw and give a brief
explanation of why it is the emoticon that best describes your feeling for today.
(Translation: Ipakita sa buong klase ang inyong emoticon na ginuhit. Magbigay ng maikling
paliwanag kung bakit ito ang napili mong emoticon para ilarawan ang iyong nadarama ngayong
araw.)
