of the revived Office of the Presidential Chief of Staff which could make Victor
Rodriguez, who recently resigned as executive secretary, "powerful," Malacañang said.

The President rejected the draft Special Order (SO) that proposed additional functions of the
PCS, which was also opposed by Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Juan Ponce Enrile.

Among the executive powers junked by Marcos

are the authority to sign contracts and give
directives to various government agencies.

to the President on a real-time basis," Press Secretary Rose Beatrix "Trixie" Cruz-Angeles said
in statement released on Saturday evening.

"The OPCOS will also supervise and coordinate closely with the PMS (Presidential
Management Staff) as the primary government agency directly responsible for providing 4
substantive staff assistance in the Presidential exercise of the overall management of the
development process," she added.

Enrile had said that creating the office of the chief of staff and granting it vast powers was
unnecessary.

national federation that would allow players to transfer internationally.

Sources confirmed that Navarro was not given a clearance as he still has a live
contract with Gilas Pilipinas until March 2023.

SPIN learned that Navarro’s camp is disappointed with the decision more so that 4
he is committed to play for Gilas Pilipinas, with his contract allowing him to suit
up for the national team if called upon.

Navarro became part of Gilas Pilipinas after being selected second by NorthPort
in the PBA Season 46 draft.

Incidentally, Navarro’s fellow draft class Jordan Heading also decided to play
abroad and is set to play in Japan after his stint in Taiwan.
