A Top 5 United States Defense Contractor required an advanced system which
would enable simulation and training for the United States Navy Surface
Warfare Center. This FORTUNE 500® company focuses on engineering and
technology applications for national security and critical government
infrastructure and is an integral player in defense initiatives across all
branches of the military.

were specified by the defense contractor in order to mimic the functionality
of the tactical system onboard the submarines, as well as to increase security
and extend the lifecycle of the training system by converting the compute
nodes into powerful remote workstations. The defense contractor also
required 40 remote workstations comprised of ClearCube zero clients as part
of the system.

Action
The defense contractor approached Adtech GlobalTM to design the various ClearCube’s PCoIP host card and small

PCoIP technology is to reduce the footprint and power output near the operators
while still delivering a full PC processing experience including high performance
graphics from the rack mounted host systems.

Result:
The Adtech Global and ClearCube Technology teams worked together to meet
stringent deadlines and budgetary requirements. In the end, Adtech Global
delivered four fully integrated racks of systems that met all functional
requirements required by their application. The end product met all of the
contractor’s graphic and virtualization requirements. These shore-based
simulation systems are being used to create and execute scenarios for
underwater training, by generating and responding to real-time data. The
overall system offers high fidelity simulation for realistic training.

What’s Next?
Following the successful implementation and deployment of this simulation and
training system by Adtech Global and ClearCube, the two companies have
announced a joint partnership to pursue projects requiring ruggedized computing
platforms for mobile, tactical, and combat-ready deployments.

environments.

Both companies bring unique attributes to the partnership.

One of Adtech Global’s strengths is the customization of core technologies to meet the challenges presented by weight, dust,
moisture, movement, and other harsh environmental elements that can adversely affect computer operations in the field.
Adtech Global offers engineering, production, logistics and support expertise and infrastructure to take projects from the concept
stage through to delivery.

ClearCube Technology specializes in manufacturing high density centralized and virtualized desktop computing platforms that
connect to zero client devices over Ethernet. Zero clients are stateless, with no operating system, memory, or storage, so they are
ideal for supporting emergency responders, command center operators, and military personnel with access to classified
information that need to deploy quickly in the field.

“ClearCube and Adtech Global demonstrated their combined strengths in solving space and power constrained remote computing
challenges in a creative cost-effective manner. We look forward to working together with Federal Systems Integrators to serve our
US government’s tactical computing requirements,” said Jim Zakzeski, ClearCube VP, Business Development and Marketing.
