MSEUF Education

The Manuel S. Enverga University is an excellent choice for those who choose higher
education to enrich them and to better their lives. When a student decides to enroll in the
University, he or she becomes part of a learning community where extremely selective and
competitive programs that are at par with those of the finest institutions in the Philippines
are offered. A distinctive hallmark of Manuel S. Enverga University is excellence in the
delivery of instruction, adaptability to the individual student’s characteristics, learning styles

and needs, and adherence to the truth for the development of creative, proactive,
productive and God-fearing individuals who will help in the transformation of Filipino
society.

Thus, at the heart of the different academic programs is student-centered learning where
teaching and training go beyond the confines of the classroom and where students can
comfortably progress as far as their abilities can take them. The Enverga University
promotes a caring learning environment among the community of teachers and scholars.
The acquisition of knowledge and skills is attained through interaction with the world
outside the academe even as the process encourages students to be proactive in their
own learning and growth.

The excellence-driven instruction is informed by the University’s emphasis on research

activities where both students and faculty members are motivated to undertake laboratory
or community research, special projects and other academic requirements to produce new
knowledge and new ways of thinking, doing and seeing.

Research is an important activity of faculty members in the different academic programs

undertaken through institutional grants, commissioned projects or research grants, in
coordination with local government units, non-government and people’s organizations.

A number of faculty members have served as researchers, consultants, quality assessors,

and trainers with the Commission on Higher Education, Department of Education,
Department of Health, Department of Agriculture, Department of Environment and Natural
Resources, Department of Labor and Employment, quasi-government and local
government units.

Faculty researchers have also published a number of textbooks, workbooks, sourcebooks,

manuals, and interactive materials to enhance classroom practices.

In like manner, the University’s Community Extension Service Program is anchored on the
general objective of attaining improved quality of life among people in the barangay,
particularly the marginalized and the underserved. Community service projects are
undertaken in collaboration with three major partners for development: the University, the
barangay, and other cooperating agencies. There are three phases of development in the
barangay, which is the base of CES projects – value redirection, enhancement of
environmental conditions, and training for livelihood opportunity and improved income.

The community outreach component ensures that whatever knowledge, skills, and
expertise generated from the academe is used in the service of the community. The
rationale is that a relevant education should help transform communities into more livable,
healthy and sustainable environments where peace loving, law abiding and productive
citizens live.

Education at the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation is holistic and empowers its
students to prepare for the professions or to earn a trade, and at the same time, trains
them to become responsible and socially conscious citizens concerned for the
improvement of the quality of life in their communities and of the country in general.

The University aims for the synergy of instruction, research and community service in the
fulfillment of its mission-vision from the grade to the graduate schools.

OUR VISION

In 2030, the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation is a

globally competitive university with high concentrations of
talent, excellent teaching environment, rigorous program
quality, sufficient resources, and a culture of collaboration.

OUR MISSION

The University is a private non-stock non-profit non-sectarian

educational foundation with a three-fold function - instruction,
research, and community service - offering responsive and
alternative programs supportive of national development and
standards of global excellence.

Three - Fold Functions

Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation as an educational institution operates a trilogy of

functions, namely: instruction, research and community service.

The trifocal functions are not

disparate, rather they interface with one
another.

Even as instruction utilizes either

theoretical or practical foundations, it
also applies knowledge gained
from research and community
service.

Research draws its search for new

knowledge or broadens existing
knowledge from instruction and
community service.

Similarly, community service derives its plans and programs for the delivery of community
development-oriented service from outputs of instruction and research.
