Asset Health Audit of

Himadri Speciality Chemical Limited, Kolkata

Evaluation Zone for various classes of equipment with the permissible limits of vibration velocity
levels as per ISO 10816 standards is given in Table 1

All the equipment were classified based on their capacity as per ISO 10816 standard. The
measurements were carried out using SANDS make of ARGUS wireless tri-axial vibration
analyzer. The present status of all the audited equipment as per ISO 10816 is shown in Table 2.

Observations:

1) The maximum vibration readings measured on pump DE bearing.

2) Spectrum analysis indicating 48.75 Hz and 96.25 Hz(1x & 2x of motor rpm), it
indicates misalignment between motor to pump.
3) Pump both the DE & NDE bearings acceleration RMS is 2.54g and 2.15g, it
Indicates rolling element bearing defect.

Recommendations:

1) Inspect the pump bearings for proper lubrication and defects.

2) Correct the motor soft foot and maintain shims as standards (max. 3)
3) Achieve precision alignment between motor to pump.
