HIST 11- READING IN PHILIPPINE HISTORY
MOUDLE 2
SOURCE OF HISTORY

ANALYSIS.
Questions to Answer
1. What did Martin saw beside the gymnasium?
- Martin first heard Francis and Blessie yelling at one another. She heard
Blessie smack Francis and then loudly sobbed as she left.
2. What was the real reason why Blessie and Francis was shouting at each other?
- Because they were in a rehearsal where they are acting for their presentation
on the stage later.

3. Why did Martin and his friends ask for an apology to Blessie and Francis?
- To apologize for what they had done, Martin and his buddies went to Francis
and Blessie were sorry they had spread the rumor.

4. Based from the story, what have you learned?

- After reading the story, I’ve learned that it is not good to spread a rumor that
you do not have a concrete evidence and also if the rumors are true, it is not
your job to spread it, it is not your life, it’s hers so don’t bother spreading
things about one person.
5. Why is it important to seek and know the truth?
- In today’s society, we seem less inclined to seek truth than ever before. We are
less open to different opinions and we are wired on the stimulation of being
right. Hence, being honest allows us as people to develop as people and learn
from our errors. Truthfulness strengthens social ties in society, while lying and
hypocrisy weaken them.
