COMPLETING THE ASSIGNMENT

1. Click on your assignment from your WileyPLUS course homepage, or from the
Assignment area of WileyPLUS (if made available by your instructor.)
a. When you click on your assignment, you will be prompted to open it in a new
tab.
When you open the assignment, you will get a clear overview of the number of questions in the
assignment, your possible points, your due date, and how much time you have to complete your
questions. If you scroll down on the page you will also see the content covered in the assignment
and your assignment policies, such as number of attempts and question assistance available.
2. After reviewing the assignment overview, click on “Start Timed Assignment”. Please note
that while in the assignment, you will have a live countdown timer (ex: for a 30 minute
assignment, the clock starts at 30 minutes and counts down until 0). Once you start the
assignment the timer cannot be stopped. The assignment will need to be completed in one
sitting.
3. You will be brought to your first question. Once you have completed your question you
can either click “Save for later” (bottom-left) or “Submit answer” (bottom-right.) Please
note: you MUST click “Save for later” in order for your answer to be saved in the system.

4. If you click “Save for later” you will be able to change your answer before the timer expires.
If you click “Submit answer” you will no longer be able to change your answer. Please
note: as best practice please make sure you click "Submit answer" for all questions
before the timer expires. This will ensure that your work is correctly submitted and
counted towards your grade. Make sure to click "Save for later" on your last question
before the timer expires to ensure your work is counted towards your final grade.

5. Click on the arrow to move to the following question.

- You can also use the three-line menu at the top-right of your screen to move to a different
question and review your question list at any time.
6. Once the timer runs out, you will receive a pop-up message advising you that time is up!
When the time ends, click OK, your saved work will automatically be submitted to the
gradebook. Based on your assignment policies, you may or may not be able to review your
grade.

Additional information for you – please review this:

A. If you log out of WileyPLUS or lose your internet connection, the clock will still run but you

assignment you will see the clock counting down from the overview screen.

and 2 minutes remaining.) The message will appear in blue at the top of the screen as you
are working on your question.

C. Please be mindful of your time and check the timer. As the timer is expiring make
sure to save or submit the last question you are working on!

D. If you attempt to access the assignment after the time limit has ended, you will not be able
to – you will see that the overview page will have a button to only review the assignment:
E. Based on your assignment policies you may or may not be able to review your assignment
after the due date. If you can, you will see how much time was spent on each question by
clicking on the “Questions” tab on the assignment overview screen.
